    Has Doja Cat Quit music?

Thanks to a recent event and social media backlash, it looks like Doja Cat is quitting music. Doja Cat was supposed to play a music festival in Parguay but it unfortunately got cancelled due to storms. The thing was fans showed up at her hotel room before the weather event expecting her to come out and interact with them but much to their disappointment, Doja did not.

However once the music festival got cancelled and the streets were empty due to inclement weather as Doja was leaving she said in a now deleted tweet, “There was a storm in Paraguay, the show got cancelled. When I left the next morning there wasn’t one person outside the hotel waiting for me. Let that sink in.” However the fans weren’t having it and came for her on twitter.

    Has Doja Cat quit music?

They pointed out that they were there in the days before the storm but Doja would not come out and interact with them. However, there were a few fans that came to Doja’s defense saying, “So let me get this straight, ya’ll tracked down Doja’s hotel, camped out there violating her privacy, yet Doja still has to apologize?” and, “So apparently Doja Cat hotel she was staying at got leaked and a bunch of “fans” pulled up and got angry with her for not wanting to greet them… in a place where they weren’t even supposed to be, and now are calling her all kinds of slurs.

The entitlement is crazy.” The fan does make an excellent point though, the address to Doja Cat’s hotel got leaked and often artists aren’t really encouraged to do on the spot meet n’ greets anymore, especially since the Christina Grimmie tragedy a few years ago.

Doja Cat doubled down though, when someone asked her, “Where is your humility, queen?” to which she replied. “It’s gone and I don’t give a f*** anymore I f*ckin quit! I can’t wait to f*cking disappear and I don’t need you to believe in my anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and I’m a f*cking fool for ever thinking I was made for this this is a f*cking nightmare! Unfollow me.” quickly followed by the tweet, “This s*** ain’t for me. So I’m out.  Ya’ll take care.”

Sad, really, because Doja Cat is a very talented musician, but she has a point. It takes a certain kind of person to want to be mainstream and it looks like she just doesn’t want to be mainstream music anymore.

This doesn’t really come as a shock to us who have been following the Doja Cat train for awhile though, last year she tweeted that she was very tired and overworked and now that it seems that her fans have turned on her it looks like she just isn’t interested in doing music anymore. It really isn’t a surprise.

Honestly, it seems that Doja Cat would be much more happier in the role of “influencer” than as a mainstream artist, at least in terms of work load. She doesn’t seem to like the long hours in the studio but, at least during good times, didn’t mind interacting with fans but we get it.

It’s a lot. Maybe she’ll change her mind, it would seem right now her twitter is a series of rhetorical questions so we wish her the best in whatever she ultimately decides. Stay tuned!!!
