Kate Middleton turns 44 today as she kicked off her birthday with an emotional video about the comfort she has received from nature during her cancer treatment.
The Video Features Kate On an Early Morning Stroll
Kensington Palace revealed the final installment of their Mother Nature video series, Winter. It features Catherine on an early-morning stroll near her home in Windsor.
In the video, the Princess of Wales speaks candidly about how nature has fulfilled her and healed her over the past two years and that she feels “deeply grateful.”
Kate said,
“Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience, and quiet consideration.”
She continued,
“Where the stream slows just enough for us to see our own reflection. To discover the deepest parts of ourselves. Alongside the whispers and in the pulse of every living thing. I find myself reflecting on how grateful I am.”
The scenic film shows Princess Kate walking across a bridge, dipping her hand into a stream as she stands in a field.
Kate added,
“For the rivers within us flow with ease, fears washed away, cleanse and purify. Come to peace with our tears and discover what it means to be alive.”
The Princess concluded with,
“To be at one with nature; a quiet teacher and a soft voice that guides. In memory, helping us to heal.”
Kate is an avid advocate of mental health and wellness. She’s long championed the value of spending time outdoors in nature.
Prince William and Kate have worked hard to instill that same value in their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The Bells Rang at Westminster Abbey for Catherine’s Birthday
The caption was a personal message from Kate that said,
“The Mother Nature series has been a deeply personal, creative reflection on how nature has helped me heal. But it is also a story about the power of nature and creativity in collective healing.”
The Princess received a sweet tribute on her birthday, marked by a chorus of bells at Westminster Abbey.
Westminster Abbey is the venue where Kate and Prince William were married in April 2011. The venue holds a special place in her heart, not only because of her royal wedding but also because it’s where she has her annual “Together at Christmas” carol service.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, was born on January 9, 1982. She is the oldest child of Michael and Carole Middleton. Kate has a brother, James Middleton, and a sister, Pippa Middleton.
When Kate was two years old, she and her family moved to Jordan because of her father’s job. They returned to England shortly after, and Kate and her siblings grew up in Bucklebury.
She shares a strong bond with her siblings. Their parents instilled strong values in them, such as “kindness, respect, and honesty.”
Kensington Palace shared that Kate’s Mother Nature series has been
“A reflection of the beauty and complexity of the human experience. It’s a tribute to the lessons we can learn from nature, helping us to foster our growth, strengthen our bonds with the world around us, and each other.”
Kate is excited to explore the possibilities of helping others discover the power of nature and creativity to foster human connection, healing, and well-being for everyone.
