    General Hospital Wins Big At 2019 46th Daytime Emmy Awards While The Young and the Restless Wins Emmy For Outstanding Drama Series

    It looks like the industry has spoken! This year’s 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards proved to be a very exciting one with plenty of twists, great red carpet fashions and of course, seeing our favorite daytime television stars get together for this great event. The ABC hit soap General Hospital managed to sweep the most awards, with actor Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) getting the away for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

    General Hospital Sweeps The 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards While The Young and the Restless Wins Emmy For Outstanding Drama Series

    Maurice’s co-star Max Gail Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series while Vernee Watson went home with the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Actress Hayley Erin, who recently left General Hospital for her new primetime drama The Perfectionists, went home with Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series award.

    And while The Young and the Restless went home with the Outstanding Drama Series award, actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) from The Bold and the Beautiful clinched the award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. The actress is currently on her maternity leave and is expected to return to the set in the coming months.
