‘General Hospital’ alumn  Billy Miller has died, and his cause of death is being speculated all over the internet. Sadly, Billy Miller was only two days shy of his 44th birthday.

Billy Miller is known for his roles in ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘General Hospital’. On Y&R, he played Billy Abbott from 2008 to 2014. He then played a dual role on GH as Jason Morgan and Drew Cain from 2014 to 2019.

He was an incredibly talented actor and a fan favorite.

There is Conflicting Information About Billy Miller’s Death

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Rumors are circulating concerning Billy Miller‘s cause of death. Early reports came this morning that Billy Miller was suffering from a brain disorder called PSP (progressive supranuclear palsy).

It is a neurological condition in which the brain gradually loses specific capabilities, such as speech, balance, vision, cognition, and even swallowing. It is a rare illness that is sometimes mistaken for Parkinson’s disease.

Some reports have claimed that Billy Miller was diagnosed with PSP in 2021 and has been receiving treatment since then.

According to his publicist, Billy suffered a stroke due to complications from PSP. PSP is a condition for which there is currently no cure.

However, these claims have not been substantiated or confirmed. First of all, only 1 in every 100,000 people over the age of 60 suffer from this condition.

Second, disability develops in patients within a three to five-year period. Billy did not show any signs of illness in his last acting role, a guest spot on NCIS in 2022.

Third, many of these sites that claim Billy had this diagnosis are not necessarily from reliable sources. Many of these sites have conflicting information within the article.

Was Billy Miller Suffering from Depression?

Billy Miller’s manager said that he has been suffering from manic depression, which is a symptom of bipolar disorder.

Depression has taken many talented, gifted stars from the world. Stephen Boss, better known to Ellen fans as simply “Twitch,” took his own life last December, as he was struggling with mental issues no one knew about.

It is possible that this is more likely. However, we still don’t know if it is the cause of death. There is too much dark mystery about the actual cause of Billy Miller‘s death to tell for sure.

Billy Miller Death: How Did Billy Miller Die?

Miller passed on September 15th, but news of his death had not hit Hollywood and the soap world until this morning. Journalist Michael Fairman was the first to break the devastating news.

The Belmont, a Los Angeles restaurant where Billy was part owner, confirmed Miller’s death. A family member also confirmed on Facebook that Miller had passed.

“Sad news is difficult to share, but yesterday I received a call that my cousin Billy Miller had passed.” He went on to say, “I am posting this in Billy’s memory and because I know that some of you have been fans of his.”

Another source of confusion is that many sites are posting that he died on September 15th, and other sites claim he died on September 16th. Extreme caution should be taken when reporting these sensitive matters.

There is a lot of false reporting and rumors. Daily Soap Dish will keep you updated with facts as they surface.
