‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have been mulling over the loss we suffered this week with the passing of Tyler Christopher.

We don’t always get what we want, but if we’re lucky enough we can get a few brief glimpses into what may be before our time is out.

As a practice, we always want to take a step back and appreciate the beauty and wonder of the world around us, but it’s something that Tyler Christopher managed to do as he sought to turn his life around and slay his demons.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to fully gain control over them but he did make strides that would make anyone proud as he learned to slow down and enjoy the little things in life.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the rat race that we never get to experience or enjoy the simple things like spending time with those we care about, or simply enjoying life one slow moving minute at a time.

    ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Breaking free

Last year on September 16, 2022 Christopher posted on his Instagram account about how much he was enjoying the little things and it seems poignant in the wake of losing him.

“Never again will I take for granted spending time with my children doing all the little things that never before seemed monumental but are now everything to me. There are no words to express my gratitude for our after school dinner where they told me about their day. I’ve never so enjoyed a trip to Target to pick out a toy or an afternoon at the movies. Playing with my children has always brought the greatest joy. I am grateful for this new chapter in my life for the time it allows me to be close to them.”

Over the last few years, Christopher talked openly about his alcoholism and bipolar depression, and when he appeared on Maurice Benard’s State of Mind podcast, he even admitted that he flatlined three times and was revived each time.

It seemed he realized his time was limited and was intent on making the most of it while he could.

This is just speculation on “General Hospital” Spoilers’ part, but it’s something we’ve often heard of happening with people that have dealt with various problems.

But more likely, he wanted to enjoy time with his family because he could and it sounds like he was in a good place. As much as we’ve missed seeing him on our favorite shows and hoped he’d return, this warms our heart knowing he was enjoying the little things in life.
