General Hospital star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) has just shared some very heartbreaking news about his personal life. The actor, who is best known for his role as Sonny Corinthos in Port Charles, has revealed that his sister Donna has passed away.
Maurice has always been very close to his sister and even called her his best friend. The cause of her death is unknown although the actor did share a very heartfelt message on his social media account. He said that Donna has always been a very special person in his life and that they have always been very close siblings.
The actor wrote, “Sometimes you meet someone in life You just connect with and then, unfortunately, life just takes that person away. And no matter how much your heartbreaks you want to remember the good times. My best friend my sister Donna used 2 hate taking pictures I used to have to grab her and hold her. And we would and laugh and laugh I will never forget this memory and I will never forget what you meant in my life.”

We send our condolences, love, and prayers to Maurice and his entire family during this very difficult time. General Hospital has made no comments about Donna’s death or if this will interrupt Maurice’s filming schedule in the coming weeks.
