‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) will play peacemaker between Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Complicated History of Sonny and Michael’s Relationship
The history of Sonny and Michael’s relationship has been fraught with periods of Michael wanting revenge on Sonny for one reason or another.
Sonny killed A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), who was Michael’s birth father, when he thought that A.J. had murdered his childhood friend and lady love, Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan).
Everyone thought he shot and killed Connie. Before Connie died, she wrote the letters A.J. in blood on the floor. Sonny assumed she was sending a message that A.J. Quartermaine killed Connie, but the letters A and J stood for Ava Jerome (Maura West).
A.J. was blackout drunk the night that Connie was killed, and he wasn’t sure whether he killed her or not. Once A.J. realized that Ava was the one who committed murder, he confronted her and started choking her.
When Sonny walked in, A.J. tried to explain that Ava was the one who killed Connie, but Sonny didn’t listen to him and shot him dead right then and there.
Michael finds out about Sonny killing A.J. after Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) reveals the truth. Michael held Sonny at gunpoint, and his two brothers, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) talked him out of killing Sonny in return.
Fast forward to 2021, when Sonny fell head over heels for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in Nixon Falls. Nina kept Sonny’s identity a secret and let everyone believe he was dead.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Chose Nina Over His Family
After Sonny came home to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and his family, he slept with Nina while he and Carly were still married. The two of them got divorced, and Michael couldn’t forgive Sonny for hurting his mother.
Michael plotted revenge to set Sonny up with the feds, and when Willow found out about it, she made him squash his plans. Sonny recently discovered Michael’s plans after it was revealed that he brought Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to Port Charles to help him take his father down.
Needless to say, Sonny is furious. How will Sonny and Michael heal their broken bond? The answer lies in Michael’s wife, Willow.
She helped Michael realize he had made a mistake by going after Sonny. She can help Sonny and Michael repair the damage to their relationship.
Sonny expects loyalty, and he’s very disappointed that Michael betrayed him. Willow knows that Michael loves his family. She will move heaven and earth to help him mend fences.
Willow has proven to be the bridge between Michael and his family, and he needs her support now more than ever. She may go to the “Godfather” and try convincing him to talk to Michael.
Willow will remind Sonny how life is a precious gift and not to waste it on anger. She almost died last year, and it was Michael and their children that gave her a reason to live.
If anyone knows how important family is, it’s Willow. She may be able to appeal to Sonny’s better angels. This might help him realize that he can’t give up on his son.
