‘General Hospital’ spoilers confirm that we’re loving Gio Palmeri (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma Scorpio-Drake’s (Braedyn Bruner) slow-burn love story on the soap.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Outback’s Disappearance Will Bring Gio And Emma Closer

Gio and Emma are the most genuine and relatable should-be couple, and their sweet bond with Outback makes them even more adorable if that’s at all possible.

The pair met only just last Christmas Eve and instantly shared a natural chemistry and camaraderie that added something fresh, authentic, and special to the show.

'General Hospital' Spoilers Emma and Gio meet for the first time

Emma was there for Gio when he discovered his true parentage. She was his sounding board when he needed support and someone to listen without judgment or pressure.

Sadly, Gio and Emma’s four-legged pal, Outback the beagle, disappeared last week, as Gio told Emma on Friday.

Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning) took in the cute wayward pup for her son, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), after learning that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) couldn’t do it since she’s staying at the Metro Court.

However, when Rocco and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) were at the café, Outback somehow got off his leash and ran off.

The dog was missing until she turned up at the Quartermaine stables, and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) found him devouring his sub.

Hey, a hungry pup’s gotta eat too! However, we are unsure if Outback’s little adventure is over from here.

Spoilers indicate that by the end of the week, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will help Gio come through for Emma, signifying more potential trouble for Outback. However, the precious pup will likely have a happy ending.

We have a feeling Outback’s journey home is just getting started. Only on GH does an adorable pooch get a more fun storyline than some of the human actors.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Emma And Gio Almost Kissed

Longtime viewers may recall Foster, Annabelle, and their puppy, Raoul. Foster belonged to Lucky Spencer (Johnathan Jackson), and Annabelle was the spoiled and pampered Quartermaine pup.

Obviously, Foster and Annabelle had quite an eventful love story, as evidenced by the fact that they produced a puppy. But we digress.

The reason we think Outback’s disappearance will bring Gio and Emma closer together is that in the September 16th episode, they almost kissed.

Emma was heartbroken after learning that Outback had run away. She felt that maybe Outback was scared and trying to find her, so she went looking for her.

Emma feared what we all would fear if one of our beloved dogs were missing. She was worried sick that Outback may have ended up in a kill shelter or worse. But as Gio pointed out, Emma doesn’t give up.

The viewers were also worried for the mischievous beagle. Fans thought perhaps the dog may have been taken by Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard).

Emma thinks Dalton is using animals for his shady research projects. Thankfully, Outback was seen at the Quartermaines.

Again, we don’t think this doggie drama is over yet, but it’s a good sign that the pup is resourceful enough to have found her way to some place safe.

Emma and Gio on the bridge

We do have to wonder, though, why Gio and Emma will end up needing Sonny to intervene, but we’re very curious.

Ultimately, Outback belongs with Emma and Gio. We feel that she’ll bring Gio and Emma together, and help them realize they like each other as more than just friends.
