‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers confirm that Scarlet Fernandez is out as Charlotte Cassadine, as Bluesy Burke assumes the role of Charlotte. Charlotte is Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning) and Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) daughter.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Fans Saw Charlotte Has A New Look
On the September 8th episode, GH fans were shocked to see that Charlotte suddenly had a new look as a new Charlotte debuted on the soap.
Bluesy Burke is the seventeen-year-old daughter of musician Billy Burke, who is also known for playing Charlie Swan in the Twilight films. Swan is the father of Bella, played by Kristen Stewart.
He’s also been seen on the CBS drama, Fire Country. Burke’s mother, Pollyanna Rose, is also an actress.
Burke wrote a song about his then-wife, called Pollyanna Rose. The music video features both Burke and Rose.
Bluesy has shared her love of volleyball on social media and dedicates an Instagram account to her passion for the sport.
GH fans know that Scarlet Ferandez has played the role of Charlotte Cassadine on and off since she was only seven years old.
Fernandez exited the show in 2021, and Amelie McClain stepped into the role. In 2023, Ana Sofia Bianchi played Charlotte in one episode.
A few months down the road, Fernandez reprised the role. The last time we saw Charlotte, Lulu, and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) tracked her down in France, where she and her papa, Valentin, were hiding.
Valetin was a fugitive running from the law. He was heavily involved with and had been running Pikeman Security Group, an organization responsible for selling illegal weapons of war.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Valentin And Charlotte Went On The Run
Valentin fled from Port Charles to evade the WSB and the FBI. Valentin ultimately regretted bringing Charlotte with him as he was hiding and agreed to let go of his “Ma petite,” which is French for “my little one.”
It’s the phrase Valentin has always used to affectionately describe his daughter. Valentin snuck back to Port Charles to try to poison Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna)3 but ended up almost killing Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
Valentin was subsequently arrested and shipped off to Steinmauer Prison to spend life behind bars. He was able to say a heartfelt goodbye to Charlotte before he left.
However, head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest and revealed that Valentin and Charlotte would be involved in the action this fall.
The last time Charlotte had a major storyline, she was stalking Valentin’s girlfriend, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Anna accidentally shot Charlotte, mistaking her for an intruder in her apartment. Anna was horrified that she accidentally shot a child.
Charlotte lied and insisted that Anna shot her on purpose. She resented Anna because she was under the influence of the evil Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy). Anna later broke up with Valentin.
TV Insider recently reported, “Charlotte returns to the canvas and assumes a pivotal role. She’s very useful to anyone who wants something from Valentin, and she knows it.”
They continued, “She isn’t afraid to exploit her relationship with her father to get what she wants. She’ll draw closer to Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyn) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) as we develop General Hospital’s next generation.”
