‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers imply that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has made it abundantly clear to his bestie, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), that he disapproves of her blossoming relationship with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Anna Worked With Brennan In The WSB
Jason has been grasping at straws, trying to get through to Carly and warning her that Brennan is no good for her.
The recent assassination attempt on Jack that almost claimed Carly’s life prompted Jason to say enough is enough.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) gave him some intel, but clearly not enough to deter Carly away from the man she’s falling head over heels for.
However, someone who may be able to get some dirt on Brennan is former super spy turned police commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Anna rose up the ranks in the WSB along with Brennan, and she knows how his mind works. Jason could ask Anna to use whatever contacts she still has in the WSB to nail Jack.
Jason can warn Carly until he’s blue in the face. However, the Metro Court owner is well-known for her stubbornness and refuses to stop spending time with the head of the WSB.
Everyone from Jason, Anna, Lucas Jones (Van Hasis), and Felicia Scorpio (Kristen Wagner) has tried telling Carly that Jack is a dangerous man, but it only seems to make her more drawn to him.
As we know, Carly has an extensive history of getting involved with dangerous men and disregards the risks that come with these perilous relationships.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jack Recruited Josslyn To The WSB
We’re still not sure what makes Brennan more dangerous than Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason. Still, everyone in Carly’s life has emphasized that the world of a WSB agent is considerably more unpredictable than that of a mob boss.
Jason is determined to leave no stone unturned to find damaging information about Brennan that would leave Carly disenchanted with him.
Well, Jason is lucky because that information is out there, ready and waiting to be discovered. Anna could employ her contacts to uncover a juicy morsel that would motivate a swift conclusion to Carly’s relationship with Brennan.
Jack recruited Carly’s daughter, Josslyn Jacks (played by Eden McCoy), for the WSB behind Carly’s back. Not only that, but he helped her cover it up when Joss shot and killed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
He also planted Jason’s DNA at the crime scene. Jason has vowed to remove Brennan from Carly’s life, and it would make perfect sense if Jason were the one to expose his deception.
Anna would undoubtedly be torn over the Joss situation. She was probably the same age as Josslyn when she started her spy training.
Anna would disapprove of the sneaky and underhanded way in which Brennan coerced Joss to work for him. That alone would compel her to assist Jason with obtaining dirt to convince Carly to dump him.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Could Blackmail Brennan To Break Up With Carly
Jason has also been keeping many secrets lately. He made a pact with Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) to pretend he’s her baby daddy. They are protecting Michael Corinthos’s (Chad Duell) custody case.
Jason can distinguish between situations that necessitate the truth and when it’s best to keep his mouth shut. We can see him getting the goods on Brennan. He would blackmail him into breaking up with Carly and releasing Joss from the WSB. He will tell Carly what he knows if he does not comply.
It would allow Jack to cut ties with Carly without the sting of animosity. How would she feel if she knew that he recruited her daughter for top-secret, dangerous work? He would frame her bestie for a murder he didn’t commit and whatever else Jason learns through Anna’s intel.
Carly is a fierce and protective mother. She would be livid that Jack sought out Joss to work for him without talking to her first. Jason may soon gain the leverage he needs over Brennan to push her away from him and potentially reunite her with Sonny.
