‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) and Britt Westbourne’s  (Kelly Thiebaud) exit plans may get derailed by Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Things May Not Go According to Plan for Jason and Britt

As GH fans know, Steve Burton is going on an upcoming hiatus. Apparently, his character, Jason, should air into late March as Burton takes a break to spend more time with his new wife, Michelle Lundstrom, and his family.

Burton’s eventual return is scheduled for July. So, in between that time, Jason will be off somewhere, and right now, he plans to go with Britt.

Spoilers indicate that Britt and Jason are headed to Canada to escape her unfortunate situation with Cullum and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

However, since this is a soap, we suspect things may not go according to plan for them. Longtime fans know that Jason and Britt first became lovers years ago when they fled to Canada while on the run from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and his men.

Jason has been laying the groundwork for his trip by asking Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) to look out for his son, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).

Burton has stayed mum about the circumstances of Jason’s exit, but sources have hinted that Jason may not be leaving town with Britt after all.

    Cullum

Recently, a soap leaker claimed that Cullum may kidnap Jason to punish Britt for not ending her relationship with Jason as instructed.

Jason and Britt need help from Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) to get their hands on her Huntington’s medication, so Jason can ask a colleague to reverse-engineer her meds and copy the formula.

That way, Britt won’t have to depend on Cullum and Sidwell for her life-sustaining medication. It’s possible that something may go wrong when Lucas obtains a dose of Britt’s drugs.

Maybe Sidwell or Cullum figure out that someone took a dose of Britt’s medicine, and they abduct Jason. In a recent episode, Jason told Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that before he leaves Port Charles, he will kill Cullum.

Cullum is a major threat to several people whom Jason loves. Britt is pretty much tethered to Cullum and her research at Wyndemere until this cold fusion project is complete.

However, we all know that neither Cullum nor Sidwell will let go of Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) brilliant daughter so easily.

After all, they need her to carry out whatever their evil plans are. This project may be used as a weapon against the people of Port Charles.

Cullum and Sidwell clearly need to be stopped. If Cullum discovers that Jason helped Britt with her meds, he is likely to retaliate.

Jason has made arrangements for him and Britt to disappear. Once they have the sample of Britt’s medicine, they can leave.

    Britt and Jason

However, once Cullum realizes Jason and Britt have run off together, he’ll use every resource available to track them down.

Additionally, Jason updated his will before leaving town. So, it looks like Britt and everyone else will be made to believe that Jason was killed.

Hopefully, it doesn’t come to that, but we can see how it might, given the not-so-subtle hints that Jason wants to make sure Danny is cared for if something happens to him.
