‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers indicate that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) may help Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) raise baby Ace.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nikolas Isn’t Exactly Father of the Year
Nikolas isn’t a prime candidate to bring up his and the now-deceased Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) son alone.
Nikolas wasn’t even in Ace’s life until recently. The kid doesn’t even know who Nikolas is, as Esme raised Ace Prince-Cassadine (Jay & Joe Clay) all along. Spoilers reveal that Ace needs a mother figure in his life.
The best mother figure we can think of for Ace is Elizabeth. She’s raised three wonderful boys: Cameron Webber (William Lipton), Jake Webber (Hudson West), and Aiden Spencer (Enzo De Angelis).
These boys are kind, caring, and well-rounded kids. Elizabeth may also have conflicting emotions regarding Esme, as the girl did film her son and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) having sex.
However, Liz was the one whom Nikolas called upon to take care of Esme and her unborn baby when he was holding her hostage at Wyndemere.
Elizabeth protected Esme and tended to her and the baby. She became empathetic toward Esme, as she understood Esme was a mother who needed her help.
And now that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) has planted the idea of taking care of baby Ace in her mind, she may decide to step in as the baby’s new mother, as Esme is no longer in the picture.
Liz is in a unique position since Nikolas is in prison right now, set to face charges for holding Esme prisoner when she was pregnant.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Heather Suggested Liz Look Out for Ace
When Heather showed up at the cemetery to say goodbye to her daughter, Liz expected Heather to unleash her fury at her and attack her for helping Nikolas.
Instead, Heather told Liz that she admired her and that because of Liz, Esme had a fighting chance in the world. Liz was shocked, but you could also see that she was moved by Heather’s words and her inconsolable grief over Esme.
Heather railed into Kevin Collins (Jon Linstrom), blaming him for his brother’s ability to get to Esme. Liz may feel a sense of responsibility for her role in keeping Nikolas’s secret and feel compelled to raise Ace on her own.
Another possibility is that Nikolas may propose marriage to evade jail time for keeping Esme prisoner. With new writers on the horizon, the powers that be may decide to break up Liz and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and pair Liz and Nikolas once again.
Then, Liz, Nikolas, and Ace could become a family. Liz and Nikolas indeed share a complicated bond, and it isn’t difficult to imagine them falling in love again.
Liz and Nikolas would start as a marriage of convenience, but she could easily find herself enmeshed with the Dark Prince, maybe even thinking she could save him.
Nikolas wants to be the kind of father his “late” son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), can be proud of and whom Ace deserves.
By marrying Elizabeth, he stands to gain a partner who can help keep him from his dark tendencies. The two of them could give Ace the home he needs.
