‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) clashing over Scout Cain’s (Cosette Abinate) school may lead to a nasty custody battle.
The tension between the two parents has been mounting since Drew returned from prison. The once easy-going co-parenting relationship that Drew and Sam shared is out the window. Drew will not listen to reason, and he believes his is the best decision.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Drew Won’t Back Down
Drew believes the right place for Scout is the fancy private school, Westwood Academy. Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) went there, and Drew trusts it will give Scout opportunities she wouldn’t have in public school.
Sam will also see that something strange is brewing with Drew ever since his experience at Pentonville. He’s behaving differently and making rash decisions that may not be for the best.
Recently, Scout had a nightmare that she was in her new school, and her teacher was a monster. Scout explained to her mother that she didn’t want to go to that school and just agreed to make her father happy.
That’s when Sam overrode Drew’s decision to send Scout to the school without consulting Drew. He’s not going to be too jazzed about that.
Drew seems to be demonstrating his Quartermaine side, and there has been a change in him. He recently expressed to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) that he was sick of playing peacemaker in his family because he thinks it hasn’t got him anywhere.
That’s when Carly reminded him that this is why she fell in love with him in the first place: his kindness. She loves that he is a good man and doesn’t want to see him give up that part of himself.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: A Bitter Custody Battle Could Ensue
Drew and Sam will ultimately get into a heated argument with each other, and it could explode into an all-out war. If Drew and Sam can’t co-parent with each other peacefully, a bitter custody battle may be the result.
Sam is prepared to fight Drew, as Scout’s happiness is at stake. She doesn’t want Scout to do something she’s uncomfortable with. Scout is already acclimated to the school she attends now.
She loves her teachers and friends and doesn’t want to leave her school or home. Drew is convinced this new school has more to offer his daughter.
Drew has always been down-to-earth and reasonable, but he’s acting irrationally, and he won’t back down from his ridiculous decision to put Scout into that school.
Sam may go to her mother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), for help if a custody fight ensues. Alexis can help Sam navigate a messy court drama.
It will be interesting to see how Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Carly, Sam and Drew’s respective partners, will feel about the situation and whether they will be dragged into the middle of the chaos.
The hostility between her parents will affect Scout in a bad way. Like many kids caught in the middle, she may even feel guilty thinking she somehow created the situation.
Spoilers hint that the family dynamic between Drew, Sam, and Scout may never be the same again.
