‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers show that about a month or two ago, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) tried to convince Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to have his blood tested to check the levels of his bipolar medicine.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Has Already Tried to Make Amends
Sonny initially told Carly to beat it and kicked her out of his apartment. But recently, he’s shown he is capable of remorse and recognizing when he’s wrong.
He went to see his daughter, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and gave her a gift for the baby. He apologized and told her his issues with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) weren’t worth losing her.
After the attack on Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), he went straight to Carly. He told her that he had nothing to do with the attempted shooting of Jason or the shootout at Corinthos Coffee.
While at the Metro Court pool, he also told Jason that he wants to trust him but can’t. Fans suspect he feels this way because his meds are out of whack.
If Sonny didn’t truly love these people, he wouldn’t have tried to make amends. He wouldn’t care what they thought.
But Sonny has proved that he is worth fighting for, and because of that, Carly will go to him and ask him again to check his med dosage.
Of course, we all know that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) tampered with Sonny’s medicine and coerced his pharmacist to give him much less than he was supposed to.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) has known for months that Sonny isn’t on the correct dose of pills but has elected to keep this information to herself.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Carly Knows Sonny Better Than Anybody
Carly knows that when Sonny is off his medicine, he is angry, volatile, and violent, which is precisely what he was when he beat Dex to a bloody pulp at Brook Lynn Quartermaine‘s (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase‘s wedding reception.
She may still wonder whether his medicine is at the correct dosage and ask him to go to General Hospital for a blood test.
Sonny will initially be reluctant, but Carly will appeal to his love for Kristina and tell him that he needs to put his pride aside and be a good father.
Part of being a good father means that he needs to take care of himself. For Sonny, that starts with his medication and mental health.
Despite Sonny’s attempts to push Carly away, the pair still have a strong bond. If anyone can get through to Sonny, it’s Carly. And frankly, the storyline of Sonny’s faulty medication has gone on long enough.
Sonny needs to know what he’s dealing with if he’s going to get the help he needs. He should be on the correct dose of medicine, and Valentin and Ava must be exposed.
Once the truth about Sonny’s medication is revealed, perhaps Sonny will see Ava and Natalia Rogers Rameriz (Eva LaRue) for who they are and realize that Carly stood by him all this time. It may be time for Sonny to try again with his soulmate, Carly.
