‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Discovered Joss Is A WSB Agent
Jason recently discovered that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is an agent for the WSB. Joss made Jason promise not to tell her mom, but will he regret keeping this bombshell of a secret?
We all know Jason’s loyalty to Carly is unwavering. He allowed his own children to believe he was dead for years to protect Carly from prison.
However, Brennan is well aware that Jason has a weakness, and her name is Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thieabud). He apparently knows that Jason cares deeply for Britt.
Jack threatened Jason, telling him that if he let Carly know Joss was WSB, he would send Britt to Steinmaur for the rest of her life.
So far, between Joss’s request that Jason keep the truth from Carly, compounded with Brennan’s threat to Britt’s freedom, Jason has remained silent.
Carly is also no fan of Britt, which she made abundantly clear during their last encounter at Bobbie’s diner, where Britt has been staying in the room above the restaurant.
Britt wants to come first in Jason’s life and refuses to play a backseat role to Jason’s friendship with Carly.
She has expressed her feelings to Jason, who took her words to heart. However, Jason communicated to Britt that he can’t protect her unless he knows the whole story.
Jason rescued Britt from the Five Poppies resort in Croatia after Pascal (Marc Forget) strapped a bomb on her.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Britt Hasn’t Exactly Been Open With Jason
So far, we know nothing about Britt’s time in Croatia, and she’s offered no explanation. Yet, Jason wouldn’t need to pressure Carly for the truth. Carly would willingly volunteer the information.
The truth coming out about Joss’s new career path is inevitable. Once Carly learns that her ride-or-die, Jason, kept this secret from her, it could damage their bond irrevocably.
Carly will accept a lot, but not when it comes to her kids. She’ll no doubt be shocked by Jason’s betrayal.
Not to mention that Jason chose to protect Britt rather than tell Carly the truth. Carly is either jealous of Britt or doesn’t trust her, or both.
Whatever the case, she’ll go ballistic when she finds out the reasons why Jason kept her in the dark. The situation is very complicated for Jason.
Jason has warned Carly numerous times that Jack is dangerous and advised her to stay away from him.
However, Carly typically does what Carly wants to do. She’s head over heels for Jack, and it’s obvious he feels the same about her. Yet, Carly may never forgive Brennan for his lies.
That said, if a rift forms between Jason and Carly, would he be free to pursue a real relationship with Britt without Carly’s judgment or influence?
Interestingly, Brennan isn’t simply eliminating Jason the old-fashioned way, which is a promising sign. He’s not crossing the line in that sense, but he’s still blackmailing Jason.
We have to wonder how Jason’s lack of transparency will affect his bond with Carly. We hope Carly isn’t too hard on Jason in the end. After all, his hands are tied.
