‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Hasn’t Had A Formidable Love Interest Since Sam
Let’s face it: Jason hasn’t had a formidable love interest since Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). The soap s**t the bed on a JaSam reunion. Many fans had hoped they would find their way back to each other.
Sadly, JaSam wasn’t honored until Sam was murdered. Jason sat by Sam’s bedside and recalled their epic love story.
The show made a beautiful montage of the former super couple and the years they spent together. It reminded viewers why they loved JaSam in the first place.
Sam’s tragic death brought Jason to tears. But with Sam gone, fans are clamoring for a Jason and Britt reboot. We should hope that the show doesn’t mess up reuniting these two kindred spirits. Not to mention, Jason and Britt’s chemistry was off the charts.
Britt’s return is the perfect opportunity to bring Jason and Britt together to have the chance at love they were robbed of when Jason was presumed dead and Britt was supposedly killed by “the Hook.”
Jason sees a side of Britt that no one else sees in her. She was vulnerable and opened up to him about her Huntington’s diagnosis long before she told her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati).
Britt and Jason shared some tender moments after she confided in him. Thiebaud herself has even admitted that she hopes Jason and Britt are given the chance to embark on a real relationship.
During an interview with TV Insider, Thiebaud said, “As far as story goes, obviously, I want Jason and Britt to get back together. I’m very much excited to pick up where we left off.”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason And Britt Have A Second Chance
Fans eagerly anticipate Jason and Britt’s next chapter, as Jason is fully convinced he saw Britt at the airport and is determined to prove she’s still alive.
We don’t know exactly how the show plans to explain Britt’s Huntington’s diagnosis, as she doesn’t exhibit any of the classic symptoms of the illness.
In the July 29th episode of GH, Britt injected herself with a mysterious drug. Since she’s currently working for Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard), it’s possible that she’s developed some kind of miracle drug that can slow down the progression of the disease.
That said, we recall Jason and Britt bonded over her Huntington’s disease. Jason was with her when she found out she had the marker for the illness.
Jason also needs a woman who understands and accepts his mob lifestyle. Jason’s “profession” was an obstacle between him and Sam that they never recovered from.
Sam feared that Jason’s dangerous lifestyle would harm her kids, which, if memory serves, is the reason they broke up.
However, Britt is the ideal match for Jason since she fully accepts him for who he is. Another plus is that Britt has a terrific sense of humor.
She got Jason to lighten up a bit and enjoy the moment. Their personalities complemented each other in a very special way.
With Jason positive he saw Britt, he seems poised to track her down and bring her back to Port Charles. It looks like Britt and Jason will have their shot at love again very soon.
