‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that the powers that be at GH shouldn’t break up Dante Falconari (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Even though we all know they will probably break up when Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) wakes up.
It may be an unpopular opinion since many soap fans tend not to like change. Dante and Sam have grown into a couple that are easy to root for, so they should stay together.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dante and Sam Make a Great Team
The recent storyline with Sam and Dante helping Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) was great. Not because Sasha being in danger was in any way entertaining. That part was downright awful.
However, Dante, Sam, and Cody made themselves indispensable. They will be forever friends to Sasha and Cody. The group teamed up to catch that lying snake, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs). They also went after that psycho doctor, Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder).
It was fun to see Dante and Sam have a storyline other than blandly talking about each other’s day, as most real-life couples often do, or being in the bedroom together.
The writers finally gave Dante and Sam an adventure and a purpose. It was great to see Sam get her edge back, and Dante was more open about ditching the rules to help out his childhood friend, Cody and Sasha, who was about to be killed.
That being said, Dante and Sam seem to complement each other. There was a time and a place for her to be with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but Sam has also matured and softened considerably over the past couple of years.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Everything Will Change When Lulu Wakes Up
Sam is finally in a relationship where she doesn’t have to compromise herself or cry all the time. She doesn’t come in second to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) or has to feel afraid that Jason will get shot or sent to prison.
Dante is a true partner, and he and Sam have formed a healthy, blended family. This will likely change whenever Lulu wakes up.
Of course, Dante still loves Lulu, but people grow and change in real life. New relationships develop when the old ones don’t work out.
Then again, it isn’t easy to imagine that Dante would ignore Lulu’s feelings and at least stop to examine his own if Lulu were to wake up.
After the floating rib was blown to bits and they were at the hospital, Lulu was about to tell Dante she still loved him, but then she lapsed into a coma.
Lulu has been in a coma since November 2020. It would be a miracle for her to wake up finally. Honestly, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlet Fernandez) might not be such a brat if her mother were there to give her some guidance.
Sure, it would be good soapy drama to have Lulu walk in the church just as Dante and Sam get ready to say “I do,” but it would also mean we would get a predictable outcome.
It’s inevitable for Dante to reunite with Lulu when she wakes up. That doesn’t mean that those who are enjoying it can’t appreciate Dante and Sam’s romance for now.
