‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers finds that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is blackmailing her granddaughter, Brooklyn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), into finding information on Deception to commit corporate espionage.
Tracy certainly isn’t interested in cosmetics. It is becoming clear that a couple of scenarios make sense. Tracey may have returned to town to repair the “damage” to the family company, ELQ.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What Does Tracy Want with Deception?
Tracy is peeved that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) voted her small tie-breaking share with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), and he became the CEO of ELQ.
Tracy wants to get Lucy out of a position where she has a say and protects the family business. She wants Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) to return and regain control of his company. She wants Valentin out.
When the whole town believed Valentin was dead, the shares went to his daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (AnaSofia Bianchi). Laura did not permit anyone to purchase these shares. Tracey sees this as a liability for the company.
She wants to get those shares away from Valentin. Tracy’s goal is to right a perceived wrong.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Downfall of Deception
Another plausible theory is that Tracy wants to get her hands on the Deceptor, Deception’s most profitable product.
General Hospital’s Tracy could have conspired with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight). She could have paid him the $50,000 mysteriously deposited into his account. She may be using Lucy’s boyfriend to help her take down Deception.
Recently, Brooklyn confronted Tracy at the Quartermaine house. Brooklyn is super angry at her grandmother because she believes her grandmother set up Deception to be sued and accused of stealing the deceptor.
Brooklyn came marching into the kitchen where Tracy and Hamilton Finn (Micheal Easton) were playing a spirited game of backgammon. She angrily knocks over the board and interrupts the two of them.
Brooklyn learns and is in shock that Tracy plans to destroy Deception. She even tells Tracy that it’s no wonder Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) doesn’t want to remember who he is because who would like to be her kid?
Ouch. Truer words Brooklyn, truer words. Hopefully, this will give Tracy something to think about. We all know Tracy never does anything for anyone without expecting something in return, even her granddaughter.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brooklyn’s Mistake
Tracy will likely hold this over Brooklyn’s head until she gets what she wants. Brooklyn is notorious for making bad decisions. She helped Tracy get her hands on privileged information about the Deceptor.
Brooklyn’s friends may not be able to forgive her for that. What seems to be driving Brooklyn is her insecurity. Brooklyn doesn’t trust that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) would want to stay with her after finding out that her grandmother is why he got his job as a police officer back.
This is the first time Brooklyn has let her guard down with somebody, and she thinks that by helping Tracy, she is protecting her relationship with Chase.
However, Lucy, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), and Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) may not want to hear Brooklyn’s excuses. It would be wise for Brooklyn to come clean with Chase, and he may be able to help her.
Whatever happens, we know troublemaking Tracy will do whatever it takes to take down Deception and get her greedy hands on the money. Watch General Hospital to see what Tracy does next.
