If there’s one thing ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers love more than soaps it’s comic books. Both have a formula they use to tell a story from the simplistic to the complicated.
One of those formulas was made famous by Batman as he’s often credited with making his enemies go from crooks and hoodlums to super criminals.
And with things unfolding with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), it looks like Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) created this new version of her.
She’s tried to be good and she showed she could be a good mother, but then Spencer went full stupid and handed her son to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), who was by far the worst choice given his history.
This was lazy writing at its best to trigger Esme at her weakest moment, and it worked.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Laura’s the key
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) said it best when she thought the news of Nikolas taking Ace came at the worst time as she was struggling to some to grips with her memoires.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers agree as she was her old self, but Ace was her balance, what kept her grounded.
With Spencer panicking for no reason and letting his father off the hook for being scum, it pushed her to the point where she is willing to do anything she can to get her baby back.
To do that, we expect she’ll put Spencer on the spot and force him to contact Nikolas in some way.
But her plan won’t just stop there.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Not all evil
On Tuesday, January 30’s episode we got to see that Esme isn’t the sociopath she used to be, otherwise she would’ve looked at the crewman she decked with a fire extinguisher as collateral damage rather than being so thankful he still had a pulse and begged him to stay alive.
This may not extend to Spencer since he’s the one that handed Ace over to Nikolas, nor to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) as her old animosity will still burn hot. Add in Trina spiking the ball on her the last time they talked and Esme’s primed and ready.
And we think it’s all thanks to Spencer for being such an idiot.
This will set up a great ending to this storyline, which we expect will end with Esme breaking down at losing her baby thanks to Spencer and she’ll blame Trina for turning him against her.
