‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that a shocking fan theory is making the rounds on social media. Many fans believe that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is really Scout Quartermaine’s (Cosette Abinate) father.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Alexis Could Learn Jason Is Really Scout’s Father
As of right now, it’s only a rumor, but it’s a highly intriguing one. A situation could arise in which Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) locates another will for Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) or some proof that Scout belongs to Jason. A will or even an old diary would do the trick.
Back when Sam broke up with Jason, she made it clear that she strongly disapproved of his dangerous lifestyle. She didn’t want her children exposed to the violence and overall chaos that ensued because Jason was a mob enforcer.
Jason has worked for mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for decades, and while he can sometimes be unpredictable, he’s a much better father than Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
We can likely all agree that the late Billy Miller’s version of Drew would have never become the ruthless, heartless, sleazy politician that Mathison’s Drew has become.
That is a good reason to retcon the storyline since Drew is one of the most hated soap characters, possibly of all time.
It can be grating when soaps rewrite history, but this would definitely be a positive change, especially for Scout and her family.
Drew doesn’t seem to care about his daughter, and he has no respect for Sam’s memory. Jason’s being Scout’s birth father would be the best possible outcome for this poor, brokenhearted child.
Drew forced Scout out of the Quartermaine family home, where she felt safe and loved. He’s also isolated her from her brother, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Drew Prohibited Sam’s Family From Seeing Scout
Drew has gone as far as to prohibit Sam’s family from getting anywhere near Scout, including her grandmother, Alexis. When Sam was alive, she lived in a home that became a blended family full of love.
Sam, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Danny, and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) were a family. The worst mistake GH ever made was killing Sam off. Now Scout has no mother and is an unfortunate, lonely kid with a selfish, arrogant POS as a father.
He didn’t even try to listen to her brother, Danny, who explained to Congressman Cutthroat that Scout asked him to pick her up from Lila’s camp and bring her to the Q mansion.
Instead, he had the nerve to try to press charges against Danny for kidnapping his own sister. It was a pitiful scene in which Drew’s behavior was so appalling and offensive that I’m willing to bet more than one fan threw something at their TV.
Now, Drew wants to move Scout to Washington, D.C., away from her family, friends, and everyone who loves her. Jason turning out to be Scout’s father would be a blessing.
The only caveat? It may be traumatizing to learn that Drew isn’t her father. She’s already lost her mother.
If Sam were alive, she would be shocked and horrified by the bully Drew has become. She would no doubt have a lot to say about his blatantly negative shift in character.
