‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers finds that actress Rebecca Budig is opening up about her exit from Port Charles. The actress, who is best known for her role as Hayden Barnes, recently wrapped up her comeback in late November. She says that while she knows her character has caused some trouble for some people, she was pleasantly surprised by the warm reception she received from fans nonetheless.

Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, Rebecca tells the publication, “Given the way Hayden left, and given that she kept this baby Violet from Finn for so long, I was nervous that the fans wouldn’t be so accepting for her coming back. But I have been totally flattered that the fans have embraced having Hayden back, by their support and their love, and their passion for the show and for the characters.”

What’s more, Rebecca also says that she was happy to see Rebecca get more screen time with her sister, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). She added, “I was thrilled when they wrote a lot of scenes for Elizabeth and Hayden this time around, and I do feel like they can rely on each other and that there was a real bond between them. I love working with Becky. It’s very easy and it just felt natural and authentic. I felt like there was so much to explore there, too. Those scenes left me wanting more.”

Now, as far as whether or not Rebecca Budig will return to ‘General Hospital’ remains to be seen. The actress says that she would be open to come back, should the opportunity present itself. For now, fans will simply have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
