‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) chats up Ava Jerome (Maura West), Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) is in a rush to start over, and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) has to break tough news. Also, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is making a deal with the devil. If you missed it, let’s get to today’s ‘General Hospital’ recap.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: What’s the rush?
Kim stops by Charlie’s Pub today. Since Julian Jerome’s (William DeVry) sale of the place to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) is a done deal, she thinks they should go tonight. She goes on about how fun it would be to stay at a hotel and not have to take the first apartment they see. Julian wants to know if this sudden rush is due to Franco’s thinking he’s Drew Cain (Billy Miller). She agrees they can take some more time before they go, and says she’s just excited to start her life over with Julian.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Breaking the news
Elizabeth has the unhappy task of telling Aiden Spencer (Jason David) that Franco has something like amnesia and he’s not going to be with them for a while. Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) assures him they all be in this together and they encourage him to go ahead and make that seven-layer cake Franco bought them ingredients for. They’ll help however they can, and he can save some in the freezer for Franco to try when he’s well again.
Speaking of that, she also learns through Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) that Drew is on his way to Afghanistan to bring back the money in Franco’s place. They’d also managed to get intel on Maddox’s location, so he might just be able to help Franco get back to his old self.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Old “friends”
In the meantime, Franco sees Ava while out and about. She’d been discussing her dream about Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). He thinks her subconscious is at work right now, nothing more. When Franco interrupts, he leaves them alone to talk.
Franco is intrigued to learn Ava isn’t exactly trying to push him to remember, even though she is one of the few who doesn’t have an issue with Franco. She tells him what he wants to know about his old self, then says that she kind of envies him. He’s got a chance to reinvent himself without the old baggage.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Starting over
Maxie Jones (Kristen Storms) had gotten Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) to bring them to the event, which he ends up sticking around for. Eventually, Maxie gets a call from Peter begging to meet her, so she leaves them alone.
Lulu is sort of annoyed and later accuses Maxie of inventing an excuse, but she and Dustin get along pretty well. She shares that she’s decided to change her name back to Spencer and tells him a bit about her kids before they part for the night. She learns he’s a teacher at the high school who just does the ridshare thing during the summer. Although, he’s willing to be available if Lulu calls.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Let’s make a deal
Peter is pressured today by Shiloh. While Peter tries to point out no one is really going to believe him over a guy who’s rebuilt his life, Shiloh counters that people wouldn’t have a hard time believing that he was behind Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) being held for years, nor that he was part of Drew’s kidnapping as well. He mentions Maxie and Peter leaves.
It looks like he’s about to confess and neutralize Shiloh’s threat, but apparently Maxie going on about how he’s a different person now and now bound by the mistakes of the past seems to change his mind. He returns to tell Shiloh he’ll help. Damn. Shiloh’s got more lives than a litter of cats.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Unholy alliance?
Speaking of the lucky cult leader, he might possibly have another alliance now. While still sitting in the visitor area, a lockdown happens. Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) just happens to be outside the door sweeping at the time, so she’s handcuffed in the room with Shiloh.
While they’re there, they chat a bit. She tells him she knows all about his past and how he’s trying to steal a baby. He counters you can’t steal what’s yours, and says that he has ELQ stocks to pay for his defense when she questions his chances of getting out. Now that the Quartermaine’s name has come into it, she seems interested. They don’t get to talk more because a guard interrupts to take Nelle away now that the lockdown is over. She says their talk is “to be continued.”
