Things took an interesting turn on Friday, May 3’s episode and ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers are curious about the mindset behind Carly Spencer (Laura Wright)’s realization about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)’s meds.
The case can be made that Sonny’s been acting erratically, though the reasons for that are obvious and started before there was a problem with his medication.
It takes someone as aloof as Carly when it comes to accepting responsibility for her actions to put the blame on Sonny losing his cool from her taking Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) away from him on his medication.
How she reached the correct conclusion is a testament to how dense she is as well as some sloppy and lazy writing.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Taking away Donna out of spite
Carly really stepped into her own self-righteousness when she accused Sonny of trying to poison Donna against her while she’s been doing the same to anyone that’ll listen.
It’s not the same thing, but once again it shows she doesn’t know him like she said.
That would require her to listen to what he says and actually put herself in his shoes and grow instead of remaining locked in her own bubble of reality.
But ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers think some good came out of it as she immediately went to check his meds and tried to get him to get checked out.
It was nice to see her caring about him, but did she really think it was going to work after how she went behind his back previously and refuses to try to understand why he has a problem with it?
This storyline is a quagmire of strangeness and it’s sad when the episodes with her, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) are rough and show why they need the old or replacement writers back.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Pointing at Ava
While the methodology fails horribly, it’ll be what moves the storyline forward so Carly can be the hero when she blames Ava Jerome (Maura West) for messing with Sonny’s meds.
While it now looks like Ava is simply trying to solve the problem for Sonny to prove invaluable to him, her past should dictate that she inform him of what she found right away.
Instead, she’ll hold onto the information and ignore her own advice to be honest with him and it’ll cost her.
In the end, we expect everything will be forgiven as history will be rewritten and everything will be blamed on his meds so he and Carly can get back together.
Hopefully, she’ll stay with Jason. She’s better off with him since he can’t say no to her and that makes her happy.
