‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers loved Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth), but we’re glad Ned Quartermaine (Wally again) is back as he’s a fun shark.
Just the way he allowed Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) to rant about him being Eddie for a couple of minutes before coming clean was perfect, and now he’s set his sights on protecting ELQ from Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
This is a wise move since they’ve been angling to have him ousted from ELQ since forever.
As ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers have noted, Michael didn’t feel the need to share Ned’s ideas with Drew when the merger was on the table as they were trying to force him out, and now it’s much the same.
The difference this time in Ned has a couple tricks up his sleeve, one being Tracy and the other Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Declaring war
While we’d normally be all for Ned to listen to Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) about letting bygones be bygones and work with them, that would be the biggest mistake he could make even if Drew didn’t think he turned him and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in for insider trading.
Like we mentioned above, there were going to force him out before and now Drew’s spearheading their newest attempt.
There’s a very good reason for Ned to shut them down once and for all, and that’s Drew and Michael aren’t CEO caliber.
If they were, one or both would’ve told Carly by helping them she’d be committing insider trading, but neither of them thought of that until Ned brought it up.
That’s a pretty big mistake for both of them to make, not that it would’ve deterred Carly.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Selling Nina out
What makes Ned’s current attempt to hold onto ELQ interesting is his willingness to force Nina into stealing insider information that could land her in jail if she’d caught, and since Michael already hates her he’d love to send her away.
The issue here is ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers aren’t sure how Nina can hope to pull this off, and she may not be meant to succeed.
Ned may be setting her up to get caught and face criminal charges as part of her own insider trading, and then he’ll spill the news that she turned in Carly and Drew and he’ll be the hero.
And if she succeeds, so much the better as he’ll have the information he needs to stop Michael and Drew from taking away his family’s company in a power grab.
Is Ned planning on taking them all down or does he have another plan in the works as well? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
