‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers: Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) Throws Down the Gauntlet, Challenges Steve Burton (Jason) & GH Cast To Unusual Contest!
Maurice, who is best known for his role as Sonny Corinthos in Port Charles, started off his post by saying, “You are probably wondering why I am in the shower. It’s because Kelly Clark challenged me to the ALS challenge which means throwing a pie in my face, which I happen to be looking at right now.”

He went on to say that he’s doing this for his friend, Dwight Clark, who recently passed away. Calling him a great man and a friend, Maurice got pretty emotional during his clip. Before putting his own face in the pie, he went on to say that he did it for everyone who has the terrible disease.
He then captioned his clip with, “I have seen the effects of ALS and it is downright devastating. I challenge all the actors @generalhospitalabc 2 take a pie in the face 4 ALS Especially @1steveburton @ingorademacher#alschallenge @clark95010.”
Quite a few of Maurice’s fans commented on the photo with, “Mo, you’re the best!! But I can’t see StevieB taking this challenge!I have a cousin who’s not even 50 years old and she was diagnosed with ALS. Like you said, it’s a horrible disease/illness. I pray for her every day!” along with, “I love u Maurice n such a compassionate man that you are so kind so loving so sensitive… now tell me was the pie good … yummy.”
Another fan wrote, “Lmao that was so funny. You could tell you did it out of love, but you dreaded doing it ,I love seeing this side of you. Your post definitely made my day.”
