‘General Hospital’ spoilers relate that Matt Cohen opened up about his role as Dr. Griffin Munro and he had good things to say. He is the son of late mobster Duke Lavery and his old mistress, the late Margaret Munro. Matt has had the role since 2016 and according to the actor, Griffin is a character that has definitely been keeping him on his toes.

Speaking to Digital Journal, the handsome actor said, “It has been unique, to say the least. Griffin is an interesting character and something that I haven’t played in my career before. It was definitely a challenge at first because I am so departed from his religious side and his medical side. It has been great. More importantly, the actors and actresses that I work with have made it so fun to play Griffin. I’ve been able to make some unique relationships there.”

But if there is one thing that Matt loves about his character, it’s his rather checkered history with Ava Jerome, played by actress Maura West. In 2017, Griffin began his romantic relationship with Ava, thus ending his career as a priest. Needless to say, it’s been quite a wild ride ever since. With that said, Matt has nothing but positive things to say about his co-worker.
“What I like most about Griffin is Ava Jerome,” he said. “Maura [West] is my favorite. She is one of my best friends in the whole wide world. I love that woman to pieces.”
Now, as far as what is in store for Griffin, the actor didn’t say. Although, if there is one thing that we need to know, it’s that Griffin is not going anywhere, anytime soon. If there is one person who will make sure of that, it’s Ava, especially after she finds out that she’s been sleeping with the enemy (Ryan) this entire time.
