‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brook Lynn Hasn’t Forgiven Her Mom For Lying To Her About Gio
We can only hope our favorite Bensonhurst women can reconnect and work on their relationship. Last we saw, Lois showed up on the set of Home & Heart to help the Deception ladies.
After the segment was over, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) basically told Lois not to “let the door kick her on the way out.”
Brook Lynn is still furious with her mother for keeping the truth about Gio Palmeri (Giovanni Mazza) from her. When Brook Lynn was a teenager. Lois pretended to give Brook Lynn’s baby up for adoption.
However, Lois went behind Brook Lynn’s back and gave her son to a close family friend, Camilla Cerullo. Camilla raised Gio as a single mother after her husband died.
Lois wanted to keep Gio close and couldn’t bear the thought of giving him away. Gio arrived in Port Charles last year and wasn’t aware that he was the product of a teenage love affair between Brook Lynn and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Brook Lynn had to learn that her own son had been living under the same roof as her at the Nurses Ball. Gio smashed his violin after he overheard Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning) confront Lois about Gio.
Lois’s headstrong daughter vowed that she would never forgive her mother for deceiving her. However, we have a feeling that Monica’s passing will provide Brook Lynn with a new perspective.
Life is too short to waste it on anger, and if Lois were to die tomorrow, Brook Lynn would likely be crushed and never forgive herself for disowning her mom.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brook Lynn And Lois May Share Their Memories Of Monica
Lois was wrong for lying to her daughter and Gio, but her heart was in the right place. Brook Lynn knows that her mom loves her, and it’s only a matter of time before they bond over their shared grief over Monica.
Not only does Lois need to reconnect with Brook Lynn, but also with Gio. Lois’s grandson has a lot of family who adore him and would do anything for him. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have that.
However, he’s understandably hurt and angry over Lois’s lies and Brook Lynn giving him up for adoption. He’s under the misguided notion that Brook Lynn didn’t want him, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
As a teenager, Brook Lynn knew she wasn’t ready to be a mother and wanted to give her son the best life possible. She loved him enough to let him go.
Gio doesn’t see it that way yet, but one day he will. We predict that Lois will play an instrumental role in bringing Brook Lynn and Gio together.
Lois will initially want to return for Monica’s funeral and to support her ex-hubby, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), in the aftermath of Monica’s passing.
It may also give her the opportunity to mend her damaged relationship with her former BFF, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCisero).
Above all else, Brook Lynn and Lois need each other right now. When Lois returns to Port Charles, she and Brook Lynn may share their memories of Monica and experience a breakthrough that could reunite them and remind them of what is most important: family.
