The show appeared to be headed in that direction since Carly first visited Brennan at Pentonville. Jack is obviously quite enchanted with her.
As it’s evident that Brennan has charmed Carly, she may think that Jack saved her from an uncertain fate and a potential prison sentence so that she would owe him.
Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) don’t want to be in a position where someone has leverage over them.
They just got free from John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) and the FBI’s clutches. As flattered as Carly may ask herself why someone like Brennan would go to such great lengths for her, she may wonder what’s in it for Brennan. His interest in her may not just be an obvious attraction.
Not to mention, Jason may be suspicious of Brennan’s motives once he finds out that the former head of Pikeman went to all that trouble to delete incriminating evidence for his BFF.
Wright has seen rumors and speculation that Carly and Brennan may develop a romance after this, but she has shot down that avenue as a possibility for Carly.
Carly, who’s become more independent lately, likely wants to enjoy her freedom before she enters another relationship.
Jack may be just her type. He’s dangerous and exciting and someone Carly has never been with. Still, she may not want to get too involved.
Carly’s days are spent running the Metro Court and looking after her daughter, Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears). Carly leads a full life on her own.

After her marriage to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) ended, Carly jumped into a relationship with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison), which was a bust.
Most fans weren’t on board with the Crew pairing and claimed they lacked chemistry. It seemed like that relationship went on forever. Thankfully, it ended as soon as Jason came back from the dead.
Those speculating that Carly’s next great romance will be with Jack Brennan may be disappointed. Laura Wright recently took to X and quickly dismissed the rumors that Jack and Carly would soon get together.
This situation brings us to our next point. Some fans have noticed that Carly has a unique connection to Jason, unlike any other coupling she’s ever had with any other man. There are many men, even including Sonny.
Jason is the anchor of Carly’s soul, no doubt about it. When no one else understands, Jason is right there for her. The two just get each other.
Some insist they don’t want to see a Carson reunion because Carly deserves better. She needs someone who will always put her first. This is why a Jarly romance may be on the horizon.
