‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Drew Cain‘s (Cameron Mathison) shift in personality may lead to problems in his relationship with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
Carly has changed since she divorced from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). She has become softer, more open, and more interested in maintaining her own peace rather than seeking revenge.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Drew and Carly Are at a Crossroads
This different outlook on life has been, up until recently, largely thanks to her current beau, Drew. Ever since Drew went to Pentonville, he’s become someone different. He was the easy-going, nice guy we all know he is deep down.
Carly and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) can see that something is amiss with Drew.
Sam stopped by Bobbie’s, and she and Carly discussed the strange way that Drew was behaving. Carly explained that Drew has been struggling emotionally since coming home from Pentonville.
Drew’s perpetual anger seems to be increasing, and this goes beyond just being about Scout Cain‘s (Cossette Abinate) schooling or his wanting revenge against Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Something is making Drew act irrationally, and it may not be long before Carly realizes she doesn’t want to go down the same dark road as Drew.
Since Carly’s mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jackie Zeman), passed, she has realized that she doesn’t want to focus too much on negativity. She wants to move forward. But will she move forward without Drew?
The two of them don’t see eye to eye about Nina and what to do about what she did to them. Drew has now dragged Carly into a calculated web of duplicity and animosity by having her replace Nina at Crimson.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will Revenge Against Nina Be Sweet or Sour?
Even though payback feels awesome and righteous for now, those feelings may fade, and Carly may realize she isn’t as on board with Drew’s obsession for revenge.
This fixation could leave the couple at a crossroads. Sonny may be single soon, and CarSon fans hope for a warm reunion. Maybe Drew’s downfall and spiraling out of control will push Carly toward Sonny. Many fans would love to see that.
Or maybe Carly will reunite with someone else she deeply cares for. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is on his way home, and they were engulfed by romance before he presumably died.
Once Sonny came home (also from being presumed dead), Jason was willing to step aside and allow Carly to be with Sonny.
But now that’s changed. Sonny and Carly are divorced now, and Carly is not legally bound by marriage to Drew.
Carly may decide to explore what was about to happen between her and Jason. Unfortunately, Sonny came home, and they were forced apart when the couple was about to consummate their marriage.
‘GH’ Spoilers: Will Drew Snap Out of It?
Once a kind soul with nothing but goodness and generosity to offer, Drew has changed. He was almost killed in prison, as he was violently beaten and almost didn’t make it out of General Hospital alive.
And like Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) said,
“You don’t come out of Pentonville the same as when you went in.”
Could Carly help Drew move past his demons and find his heart again? Or will she reignite a tempting and familiar old flame?
