‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) are both clearly unstable young women.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Willow Broke Down And Screamed At The Judge
Both are descendants of Dawn of Day, which was a cult run by Shiloh (aka Henry Archer, played by Coby Ryan McLaughlin).
At one point in time, the once sensible, kind, relatable Willow helped Kristina. She told her the truth about Dawn of Day. It’s hard to believe that Willow, the unhinged mess we saw in the June 12th episode of GH, is the same woman.
Willow went from Dawn of Day to Dawn of “Drew.” We watched her carry on a torrid affair with her (then) husband, Michael Corinthos’s (Rory Gibson) uncle, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). They took a romp in her daughter’s playroom at the Quartermaine mansion.
In spectacular, soapy fashion, a video of Willow and Drew having sex was revealed at the Quartermaine Christmas Party. Tracy accidentally turned on Michael’s cell phone, giving everyone a full view of the contents. Thus, a nasty divorce and a custody battle for their children were set in motion.
In the June 12th episode, Willow lost custody of Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko) to Michael.
We saw her have what appeared to be a massive mental breakdown in court. This occurred shortly after the judge announced the verdict.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: If Willow Thought For Herself, She Would Figure Out Why She Lost Custody
The judge was clear in the ruling. Willow’s selfish actions demonstrated a “consistent pattern of negligence regarding the children’s well-being.” If Willow ever stopped to think for herself. She would realize why the judge ruled in Michael’s favor. If she were not Drew’s puppet, she might have had at least partial custody.
Willow was beyond bonkers in the courtroom, screaming at the judge, which only served to reinforce the judge’s decision. She passed out and had to go to the hospital, and will soon be evaluated by a psychiatrist.
We think Willow has a lot of unresolved traumas from her past that she hasn’t worked through, and perhaps now she can get the help she needs.
Then there’s Kristina, who, let’s face it, is nuttier than a Payday candy bar. Kristina hasn’t been right since she plummeted out the window of Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) suite at the Metro Court, landed in the pool, and lost her baby.
God bless the late Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), who desperately tried to help her sister by getting her to a therapist to work through her trauma.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Kristina Has Learned Nothing
Unfortunately, all the therapy in the world hasn’t given Kristina a fresh perspective. Kristina tried to kill Ava as she cut the brakes of what she had thought was Ava’s car, only it was Ric Lansing’s (Rick Heart) car, with Ric at the wheel and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) as a passenger.
She caused them to have a serious accident. Her mother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), received wise counsel from Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy), who advised her to have Kristina committed.
So, instead of getting her daughter the help she needs, she’s allowing herself to be blackmailed. Ava and Ric are extorting money from a child’s inherited trust fund to do it.
It’s difficult to tell who is more worthy of a lengthy stay at Shadybrook. However, while some might argue that Kristina is in dire need of intense professional help. Still, we are torn on who’s more unstable: Kristina or Willow.
Willow needs to be deprogrammed more than anything, as she still retains a cult mindset from all her years at Dawn of Day.
For Willow’s sake, we hope Drew does decide to leave town. However, Kristina may have inherited her father, Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) bipolar disorder, and may require some medication.
Meanwhile, she’s hired Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) to seduce Ava, which is a ridiculous and out-there idea. We don’t think Kristina has learned anything.
At the end of the day, Kristina and Willow desperately need a reality check. Both young women are as cuckoo as cocoa puffs.
