‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers show that Molly Lansing-Davis has undergone yet another transformation on the show, as a new actress has taken up the role. Kristen Vaganos made her debut as Molly, officially replacing Haley Pullos, who had to step down from the role due to freeway collision and legal issues.
This casting shake-up began when the show urgently brought in Holiday Mia Kriegel back in May to temporarily fill the role.
However, it was evident to most viewers by July, when Brooke Anne Smith made her first appearance as Molly, that this casting decision was a significant misstep. Smith didn’t quite match the age and vibe established by previous actresses in the role.
Unsurprisingly, many ‘General Hospital’ fans expressed their disapproval on social media, demanding a correction to this casting error. While Smith may have been suitable for another role, the show placed her in a part that didn’t align with her strengths.

Thankfully, the powers that be recognized the need for change, and Smith has been replaced by Kristen Vaganos as the new Molly. Hopefully, Vaganos will make the character her own.
In terms of Vaganos’ previous work, she has appeared in various TV series, including Bulge Bracket, Serial Soulmate, and Bound for Glory. You may also recognize her from films such as My Sweet Holiday, I Am Lisa, and Secret Society of Lies.
Vaganos has already garnered a positive response on social media following her debut on General Hospital, which bodes well for her portrayal of Molly. With fans clamoring for a different take on the character, it appears that the show has made the right choice.
Although Kristen Vaganos hasn’t had any highly dramatic scenes in Port Charles yet, she exhibits a natural on-camera presence and fits the role of a Davis sister seamlessly.
Let’s hope that this saga of Molly Lansing-Davis casting changes has come to an end, allowing the focus to return to the storyline rather than casting updates.
