‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have let slip that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will soon find out that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) wants to execute Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dex Has Been Protecting Sonny For Joss’s Family
Michael Corinthos’s (Chad Duell) plot to take down Sonny Corinthos may end in tragedy as Sonny discovers Dex’s offshore account.
This debacle started when Sonny left Michael’s mother, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), to be with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Michael hired Dex to get the goods on Sonny and set him up with the Feds so that he would end up in prison.
Coincidentally, Carly was in trouble with the SEC around the same time because of Nina. Michael presents her with the flash drive, containing evidence against Sonny.
Carly freaked and stomped on the flash drive. She explained that the whole family would be in danger if Sonny went to prison. She was clear that she would not turn against Sonny for any reason.
Joss’s mom also told Dex that from then on, she wanted Dex to protect Sonny and told Micheal to drop his vendetta against him.
Fast forward to now, and there is a significant threat to Sonny and his organization. Sonny has been racking his brain, trying to figure out who the Metro Court shooter could be and who shot at him and Ava Jerome (Maura West) in Puerto Rico.
He knows this is an inside job. Whoever could infiltrate his private island and take shots at him had to know how to get past his very tight security measures.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Carly May Have to Come Clean for Dex’s Sake
Brick (Stephen A. Smith) has been excellently planting seeds of doubt about Dex in Sonny’s mind. Brick hasn’t trusted Dex from the beginning.
Brick investigates Dex’s finances and discovers he came into a huge windfall when Sonny was ambushed.
Sonny automatically assumes he is a traitor and takes him for a ride to the Pine Barrens. Joss will not be able to get a hold of Dex, and she immediately senses that he’s in trouble.
Sonny will give Dex one chance to explain himself. Dex is as loyal as the sky is blue and will not give Michael up. He’s too honorable. So where does that leave Dex?
Joss may stop by Sonny’s office, and Brick could be acting strange. Or she may even see Sonny take Dex somewhere.
Spoilers indicate that Carly may be the one to save Dex. So, Joss will likely go to Carly for help. Carly is the one person who could talk Sonny down from a ledge.
To save Dex, Carly may need to make the tough decision to tell Sonny that Michael and Dex first planned on setting him up with the Feds.
She may even need to tell him about the flash drive and how she destroyed it, but now Michael and Dex have decided to protect him instead. Carly may be Dex’s Hail Mary.
Hopefully, the writers won’t eliminate Dex to make room for Steve Burton’s return as Jason Morgan. Dex is a sweet guy, and the show needs more characters like him.
