‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers disclose that how Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returns to Port Charles may not be what many fans expect. Some fans think he may return with brain damage. Only this time, he will end up in the exact opposite place he did when he first became Jason Morgan.
Mob life has not been kind to Jason. Sure, it gave him a purpose: to be Sonny’s enforcer, but he lost the love of his life, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and his family because of it.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Lost Sam and His Family
Sam wanted her kids to have a safe life, and she gave Jason an ultimatum: it was either her and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) or the mob, and unfortunately, Jason chose the mob. It could be a decision that he regrets.
Jason also lost years of his life when he was presumed dead and held captive by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). Before that, Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) placed a chip in his brain to brainwash him.
The years that Jason spent away from his family were difficult for him. He could be different when he comes home and is suddenly against the mob entirely.
Jason was once a true Quartermaine but was rejected by his family when he started working for Sonny. His only relationships were with his grandmother, Lila Quartermaine (Anna Lee), and his sister, Emily Quartermaine (Natalia Livingston).
Eventually, he was open to reconciling with his mother, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson). They were the only family who accepted him as the new version of Jason. It was Jason’s involvement with the mob that cost him his life and family.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Tunnel Collapse Could Have Affected Jasons’s Brain
What if Jason returns with a brand-new outlook and tries to force Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) out of the business? Jason’s been presumed dead for four years, and the tunnel collapse could have affected his brain.
While Jason died trying to help Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), he may have had time to reflect on some of his choices and may have seen things from a different vantage point.
He may return to Port Charles and align himself with John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington), and they might try to take down Sonny’s organization.
Sonny once put a hit out on John, and he would have no problem helping Jason decimate the mob. In the last conversation that Sonny and John had, John hinted that the Feds would be coming for him.
If Jason switched sides, he could help John in several ways. He may even join the Feds and fight against crime instead of committing it.
Where would that leave Jason’s friendship with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) if that’s the case? Would he risk his relationship with Carly to take down Sonny, or could Carly be the one person who could remind Jason who he is?
Too many people are starting to believe that Jason will return brainwashed and be the mole in Sonny’s organization.
Since the show hints that Jason’s return won’t be what fans expect, we suspect he may be anti-Sonny when he returns, or at least anti-mob.
