If there’s something that we know about Jason and Sam, it’s that they are made for one another, even though they refuse to take that extra step in their relationship. The chemistry and passion are definitely there. Jason doesn’t look at any other woman the same way that he looks at Sam. So, why haven’t they taken the plunge together? There’s some speculation that Jason is refusing to commit to Sam because he might be secretly holding out for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Sure, Carly might be married to the biggest mob boss in all of Port Charles, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) but they have always been best friends. As a matter of fact, it does seem as though Carly can count on Jason more than her own husband. Whenever Sonny’s not there, you can bet your bottom dollar that Jason will be there in his place.
So with that said, could there be a strong possibility that Jason is actually in love with Carly Corinthos? After all, there aren’t many adults in this world that have a ‘best friendship’ with a married woman. And while it doesn’t look like Jason would do anything to betray Sonny (at least not on paper), he does seem very close and loyal to a woman that he has zero commitment with.
