‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers find that for the longest time, Olivia Jerome, or, Olivia St. John (Tonja Walker) as some of us know her, was thought to be dead. She was thought to be dead for a long time too. From 1990 until 2017 we didn’t hear anything from her, not a peep! But boy were we all surprised to find her alive and well and apparently still with a penchant for trouble? Some bad guys take their ‘near death experiences’ as chances to reflect on their evil ways and try to turn it around, but not Olivia!
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) Returning To Port Charles?
Throughout it all, she has remained completely hardcore and been a straight-up villain. Right now she’s at D’archam Asylum for the criminally insane, but as we all know, people have a way of finding their way out of these places. So what would happen if Olivia St. John (or, Olivia Jerome) returned to Port Charles?
Well, for one thing, I know one person who wouldn’t be happy to see Olivia and that would be Anna DeVane. Those two seem to have a lot of bad blood going all the way back to 1990 between them. Would Olivia possibly show up on WSB radar? Maybe. Would Anna remember all of the bad things she’s done to her and her family?
Undoubtedly. However, the only thing Anna did back in 2017 when confronted with Olivia was kick her three times so it would seem that either she didn’t have time to get a clear shot in or perhaps time has cooled the white-hot hate between the two… nah. I’ll go with the former theory on this one. She probably just didn’t have time to get the precise hit in that she would want.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What if Olivia Jerome returned to Port Charles?
If she did manage to get out, just to fan the flames, I could see her making a play for Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), Anna’s current love interest. I’m not saying it would actually work, because the only one I see him working with besides Anna would be Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig), but I can definitely see her trying to put the moves on him in an attempt to mess with Anna. I could easily see that fight getting bloody.
Another person that would not be happy to see Olivia would be Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), in fact in 2017 when she was taken to D’Archam, he sent a promise that she would be killed by him upon release. Would Sonny follow through on that? Considering he has a very new addition to the family and that’s weighing on his mind right now, he might be a little late to the Roast of Olivia St. John but I think he would get there eventually.
Who do I see getting directly involved in this storyline? Julian Jerome (William deVry), Julian is her brother and while she did try to kill him at one point, one could argue that they’re still family. (Poor Julian seems to get stuck with taking care of the psychotic messes in his family, doesn’t he? It’s amazing he had the time to even become a mob boss.) But seeing as she tried to kill him once, how on earth could she possibly endear herself to her brother again?
Right now, Julian faces the very real possibility of having to kill Dr. Leisl Olbrecht (Kathleen Gati) for her big mouth and essentially blackmailing members of his family in exchange for his silence. Bradley Cooper (Parry Shen) has begged for his help in the matter and he knows his hands are not the cleanest (I mean, we all know about the baby swap and how he’s involved), but right now he seems a bit reluctant to commit actual murder.
Whether that’s because he wants to turn it all around and be a family man or because he just wants to avoid prison is a bit up for debate, but what if Julian could have the best of both worlds, what if he could find someone who had no qualms about committing murder and just wanted the chance to walk free?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sister Olivia might just be the girl for that.
Olivia has no qualms about committing murder, after all she supposedly killed Julian way back when when she was aiming for Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), so it would be no surprise that in exchange for her freedom she wouldn’t mind killing Liesl. After all, she has no connection to her and knows very little about her so besides the blackmailing of her brother, it wouldn’t matter to Olivia if Liesl lived or died ultimately. She could kill her with a clean conscience, and be done with it. But even if Julian did employ, shall we say, ‘the cleanest method’ for Liesl’s ultimate demise, it could still end up backfiring on him.
Say Olivia turned right around and blackmailed him, saying that she would spill the beans to the cops if he sent her back to D’archam? Maybe she would threaten Brad or Lucas or perhaps Baby Wiley Cooper-Jones himself! So one could see where, when employing this measure of getting rid of Liesl, that it would only be used as a last resort. If this happened, I could see Julian having to team up with Sonny to get rid of this threat because if anyone would willingly get rid of Olivia, it would be Sonny.
But so far, there’s been hide nor hair of Olivia since we last saw her in 2017. It’s still up in the air whether or not she’ll ever get out of D’archam or if Julian will have a hand in it or if she’ll just get out on her own. In order to find out if any of this will happen, we’ll have to stay tuned!!!
