If there’s one person in Port Charles ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers wouldn’t think would soften is Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) as she’s proven herself to be as heartless as anyone else most of the time.

Though to give her credit, she usually has an endgame only she sees the logic to, and hence why she’s so successful at getting what she wants.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is Gregory Responsible for Tracy Softening?

While her manipulating Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) into betraying her friends and subsequently severing those friendships to make Brook Lynn stronger does fall into her wheelhouse, showing sympathy to Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) does seem… out of character?

To be fair, she’s shown a lot of empathy lately, especially to Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) after she learned he’s suffering with ALS.

But before even that, he started to win her over through his quick wit and intellect and they’re as close to a perfect couple as possible.

That’s one of the main reasons ‘General Hospital’ would love for a plot twist where he was somehow misdiagnosed and he’s not going to deteriorate, but we know that won’t happen.

But his brief time with Tracy has really changed her for the better in some ways.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: A work in progress

People, as a general rule, never stop growing and evolving even when we think we don’t think we are, and Tracy appears to be going through that now.

She gave us a shock when she defended Sasha and talked about women in business sticking together and lifting each other instead of tearing each other down.

The irony that she said that after tearing Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) in her effort to take 51% of their company.

We can’t wait to see their reaction when they learn she intends to give it to Brook Lynn, but that’s another story.

While we think Tracy meant what she said to a point, there’s the possibility that it’s also because she wants to ensure Brook Lynn walks into a company that’s build to continue thriving instead of following Lucy’s panic and whims.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: A friendship forever

Now that Tracy’s thawed out some, we think we owe this change to Gregory. Their relationship was combative at first, but it’s grown and Gregory has chipped away at her armor.

Because of his illness, we think she’s got a different outlook on those that are suffering from any illness and that’s lit a fire under her when it comes to Sasha. Since she can’t help Gregory, she can at least help her.

Did Gregory soften Tracy’s outlook? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
