‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Road to Discovery
Tanish was born in Tokyo, Japan. She is of mixed African American and Cherokee descent. She was discovered as a teen and started modeling with the Ford Modeling Agency.
Her career has largely been focused on modeling. She had appeared in scores of magazines and catalogs. She also competed in the sixth season of Project Runway, earning the second-place spot.
Modeling took her into the television world. She played a model on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ once in 2005 and again in 2010, showcasing their fashions. She has appeared in single episodes of many different shows since then but landed her regular role as GH’s Jordan Ashford in 2022.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Role on GH
Tanisha Harper is the fourth actress to fill the role of Jordan Ashford on GH. The most notable actress to fill the role was Vinessa Antoine, who filled the role from 2014-2018.
Jordan Ashford is the current deputy mayor of Port Charles. She assumed this role when Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) went to find her son. Prior to that, Jordan had been the commissioner of the PCPD.
Jordan is TJ Ashford’s (Tajh Bellow) mother. She is the widow of Tommy Ashford Sr. and ex-wife of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). Most recently Jordan has been encouraging and support TJ on his road to parenthood. TJ and his girlfriend Molly Lansing-Davis (Brooke Ann Smith) are trying to have a baby by surrogate.
While Jordan is not currently in a relationship, she and her ex-husband Curtis did kiss, which caused a problem with this wife, Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr). But then, Jordan hooked up once with Portia’s brother, Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston).
Since Curtis’ accident, Jordan has shown her support for his recovery but also has kept her distance so that Portia and Curtis can rebuild their marriage.
What is next in the storyline of Jordan Ashford? We’re not sure, but we do hope it is exciting. Tanisha Harper can keep captivating and engaging us with her beauty and her acting. Wishing her a very Happy Birthday and all the best in this coming year!
