General Hospital spoilers relate that while her character Laura Spencer managed to survive what can be best described as an emotional reunion between her and Kevin Chamberlain at Ferncliff, it was a scene that wasn’t very easy for Genie Francis. Even though she’s a veteran actress, Genie admits that there was an added degree of difficulty playing opposite Jon Lindstrom while he was playing two different roles.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Genie said that she had to put her best acting skills to use as Jon went back and forth from playing both Kevin and Ryan Chamberlain at the same time. She told the publication, “I’ve never worked in a split scene situation before. I have never done that and I was very thrown by it. I just couldn’t wrap my head around when they are really filming my side of it!”
The beautiful brunette also credits her co-star Jon Lindstrom for doing a phenomenal job of playing both Ryan and Kevin interchangeably. While it was hard for Genie to keep up at first, she was in awe of what kind of great actor Jon was throughout the entire process.
Genie added, “What’s most interesting is that Jon is so completely different in both characters. When I had Kevin back in front of me, I was like, ‘I missed this! I missed this so much.’ But unfortunately, it was blind Kevin, so we still couldn’t look into each other’s eyes. It was so hard when I had Ryan and was looking in his dead eyes. It’s fun for me that it really feels like a different person to me. Kudos to Jon for being able to do that! It’s fun to watch him be Ryan.”
