If Ace’s father has no familial connection to the Cassadines and happens to be someone already familiar, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) emerges as a strong candidate.
If Dex had a clandestine encounter with Esme and has kept it hidden, his relationship with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) would be at risk. This explanation would justify Dex’s decision to remain silent and allow the assumption that Nikolas is the father.
