‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers: John “Jagger” Cates is keeping a significant secret from Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). The love of Jagger’s life, Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne), had a secret son, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and gave him up for adoption as a baby.

Karen hid her pregnancy from Jason and everyone in Port Charles. Karen’s father, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), may have helped her conceal the truth from Jason.
Dex confided in his then-girlfriend, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), a while back about his damaged family life growing up.
He told her that his dad was abusive, and his mother defended him. His older brothers beat him up, and he was hospitalized five times. Dex didn’t worship his father like his brothers did, leading to tension in the home.
Fans are speculating that Dex’s parents may have been abusive toward him because he was adopted. The awful way the family treated him led him to join the army right after high school.
It’s a bit of a stretch to think Karen had Dex when she was in high school, as Dex would be too young for that to be possible, but it is a soap opera. It would be an interesting rewrite.
What if the only person who knew was John, who kept it secret all these years? However, it would explain why Dex is so drawn to danger, and he’s put his own life at risk several times.
Jason would do anything to protect the people he cares about, and Dex is the same way. Maybe Jason and Dex have so much in common because they are father and son.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason May Be Dex’s Savior
Jagger knows that Dex is Jason’s son, but he doesn’t want to tell Jason because Jagger never really got over Karen and doesn’t want to think of her having a baby with another man. But Jason will still find out somehow.
In February, Evan Hofer talked to Soap Opera Digest about Dex’s mysterious paternity. He said that while some fans are surmising that John is Dex’s father, the most prevalent theory on social media is that Jason is Dex’s father.
Jason was livid with John for not telling him that the two of them knew each other in high school. He could easily be keeping other secrets as well.
It’s anybody’s guess how Jason will learn that Dex is his son. Jason could overhear John talking to someone, and he could let slip what he knows about Jason and Dex.
In the meantime, Dex is getting ready to join the PCPD, and since Ava Jerome (Maura West) told Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) of Dex’s plans, Dex is in grave danger, as it could cost him his life.
When Sonny first suspected that Dex was a traitor, he hung him from a meat hook in a freezer, and more recently, he took Dex to the Pine Barrens and almost killed him.
Jason may be Dex’s only hope to make it through this alive. Once Jason discovers that Dex is his son, he will protect him, even if it means that he goes against Sonny.
