‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers were wondering how things could get worse for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and it looks like it’ll come curtesy of Charlotte Cassadine (Ava Kolker).
We shouldn’t be surprised that she would tell either Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) or the police her version of what happened and it’d be totally one sided.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers are actually more disappointed that we didn’t see this coming, and it’d be pretty typical if Charlotte’s head if clear enough for her to think when she first wakes up.
We’re willing to guess she’ll tell Valentin first, and he’ll relay it to the police. This would put Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) in a difficult position as he’ll most likely have to arrest Anna.
But in the end, it’s not what is known or suspected but what can be proven, and all the evidence leads to Anna shooting Charlotte.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Trying to walk the line
While there is a case for Anna to avoid any legal trouble, it’ll only further cement Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy)’s programming that Anna can’t be trusted.
This will lead to all sorts of problems as Charlotte will be traumatized and it’ll make it harder for Valentin, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) to pinpoint why she was in Anna’s room.
We doubt they’ll accept her probably excuse of finding Anna’s keys and wanting to return them to her, especially after she abandoned her friend and switched costumes.
Of course, part of the problem is despite Valentin knowing she’s guilty, it’ll be hard for him to get past the fact Anna shot his daughter.
Anna’s already carrying a ton of guilt over it and when Valentin tries to come clean with her as his own cathartic measure, she’s not going to be too happy with him.
He better be grateful he’s not in a dark room carrying anything like a weapon or Anna could shoot to kill.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Could Charlotte forget?
With all of that being said, it’s possible that Charlotte will be in shock enough that Victor’s programming won’t kick in and she may not remember much of what happened.
She could not remember going to Anna’s without some prodding, and even then it’d be hard for her to make sense of why depending on how deep and intense the programming is.
This will be a pivotal moment for her to see how deeply programmed she is and if she can break free herself.
