At some point, ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers would love to see some character growth with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) calling her out for more manipulation and attempted warping of reality may get that ball rolling.
We’re glad Carly made it to the Pines Barrens in time to save Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), but her once again lying to someone to protect them backfired.
What gets us is this is something she or anyone in the Cult of Carly would hate to have done to them, but they have no problem doing it to others.
As usual, she refused to take responsibility for her actions and this time it could cost her more than she can imagine.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Lack of faith
Carly’s entire argument that she wasn’t treating Sonny like he was weak or incompetent and didn’t have Brick (Stephan A Smith) to rely on was a stretch at best.
Brick couldn’t be his number two guy for day to day operations, but he would be there anytime Sonny needed him.
In the end, Carly gambled and lost thinking that Sonny was incapable to running his own business and add to her betrayal that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wanted to send him away for life and his family will start crumbling.
What’s even more interesting is this will make Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) look like a saint compared to them, and ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers won’t be surprised if this is what brings them back together.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – So much truth
Sonny’s been getting hit with a lot of secrets coming out, but this also makes us think back to when he was in Nixon Falls and didn’t want to look for his family.
Nina encouraged him to do so, and once even told him that nothing could happen between them until he did and he still refused.
Of course, she did call Carly early on to tell her about Sonny, but Carly went into a rant on the phone so Nina decided she could suffer like Carly made her with her daughter.
One theory we had at the time was on some level he knew what his family was and he wanted a fresh start away from the rotten, manipulating tactics he would end up having to defend at some point.
Now, we’re curious if he’s going to bother with Carly anymore. It looks like Michael’s out for good at the moment, so it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out.
