‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that executive producer Frank Valentini talks a good game. At the Daytime Emmys, he confirmed that a familiar face would soon return to GH.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Frank Valentin Promised An “Exciting Return”

He didn’t reveal anything other than, “It’s someone the fans will go crazy over.” He elected to keep his lips zipped on any additional details. But he did manage to get the GH viewer’s hopes up.

A certain writer (me) wanted to see Roger Howarth come back as Franco Baldwin. But the idea of that happening is literally too good to be true.

Since Morgan will only return for one episode, we bet he’ll be in the form of a ghost, just as a certain writer (ahem) predicted.

We’re also betting that he will come to see his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). With Sonny’s bipolar medication having been tampered with, it only makes sense that Morgan would warn his father.

There was also much speculation that Craig would be the actor on his way back to Port Charles. Bryan fueled the rumors that he was the mysterious comeback by posting a picture on Father’s Day of himself with his on-screen Dad, Maurice Benard.

He further rendered it totally obvious that Morgan would at least make a guest appearance on the show by also making sure to include in the picture an image on his Instagram that was evidently the GH set.

It has also been confirmed that Bryan Craig’s Morgan Corinthos is not returning from the dead like his namesake, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

It is pretty disappointing that it’s only for one episode, mainly for Carly Spencer‘s (Laura Wright) and Sonny’s sake. Having their son back would be a true gift.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: This Isn’t The First Time Morgan Returned

Craig started his role as Morgan Corinthos in 2013, earned four Daytime Emmy Award nominations, and won the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series twice.

His character was romantically linked with Ava Jerome (Maura West), and we all know how that ended. Ava tampered with Morgan’s medicine (like father-like son) and stole Julian Jerome‘s (William DeVry) car.

    Julian and Ava

Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) planted a bomb in the car meant for Julian, which exploded and killed Morgan. Ava wasn’t actually responsible for his death, her sister, Olivia’s, but what Ava did indirectly led to Morgan’s tragic demise.

Sonny and Carly were furious about Ava’s role in Morgan’s death and let her know it. Craig exited the role in 2016.

However, in a similar instance, Morgan haunted Ava in her dreams in 2018. Perhaps GH will wrap up the terrible tale of medicine tampering revisited this time.

We haven’t seen much about Sonny’s spiral downward after he beat the living snot out of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) at the end of Brook Lynn Quartermaine‘s (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase‘s (Josh Swickard) wedding reception.

The whole story has been one big mess, as it was pretty sloppy writing for the show to have Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) pull an Ava and mess with Sonny’s medicine the way she messed with Morgan’s.

Hopefully, at least some of this will be resolved. Craig is set to return sometime in August.
