‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that Adam Huss will return as Nikolas Cassadine next week. He will be on from April 29th to May 3rd and share scenes with his ex-wife, Ava Jerome (Maura West). She will visit him in prison; we can’t wait to discover why.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Are Nikolas and Ava In Cahoots With Valentin?
Will she reveal her scheme against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)? Perhaps Nikolas and Ava are in cahoots with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) against Sonny.
Ava could be planning a mob takeover and want Nikolas to help her. He’s the Dark Prince, after all. Not long ago, Nikolas and Ava were as thick as thieves, plotting against Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
Fans get the sense that Ava’s sudden bond with Sonny is strange, and it doesn’t look sincere. Ava and Nikolas could be the key to uncovering the truth about Valentin’s agenda with the mafia boss.
While Ava may not have been the one to tamper with Sonny’s medicine, she is definitely up to something. Ava could have come clean to Sonny about the faulty medicine but chose not to.
If she’s working with Valentin, she likely wants a piece of Sonny’s territory, if not the whole thing. That would be the only angle that, in our minds, she would be working.
Ava has also been plying Sonny with liquor and generally encouraging him to use bourbon as a coping mechanism for his anxiety. He knows he shouldn’t be drinking with his medication, not that his medicine is even working.
At the very least, Ava may confide in Nikolas about her plans with Sonny. Although it’s been a long time since Ava had any real influence in organized crime, she may be craving the excitement and danger she once had when she was a part of that world.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava and Nikolas Have a History of Scheming
It always seemed like she and Nikolas had an unhealthy connection, and they fed off each other’s negative qualities. Maybe during this visit, we get a taste of the former couple’s explosive and often chaotic energy.
During a heated confrontation between Ava and Nikolas in February 2023, she hit Nikolas over the head with a statue, and she believed that she’d killed him.
He was revived by Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and taken to Pautauk to recover. Still, eventually, he returned to Port Charles to try to patch things up with Ava, reclaim his relationship with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), and meet his baby boy Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).
Nikolas confessed to keeping Esme prisoner at Wyndemere, and he went off to jail. He decided to turn himself in so he could be the man that Spencer would be proud of and the father that Ace needed.
Nikolas could be the perfect ally for Ava in her takedown of Sonny, assuming she’s a part of the plot. Ava and Nikolas have a history of duplicitous behavior and have often worked together for the sake of their common goals. Maybe Nikolas wants to help Ava with her scam, as the two never really fell out of love.
