‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers show Ava Jerome (Maura West) will decide she does not want Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) back.
Nikolas will surely soon come back from the “dead” and want to reclaim his estranged wife. Remember that before Ava hit Nikolas over the head, he threatened to take Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) from her.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava Will Not Want Nikolas Back
First, when Ava discovers the truth about how Nikolas was purposefully kept alive, she will want to deal with Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) betrayal for keeping this from her.
It will be interesting when Ava realizes that Austin kept Nikolas alive and is hiding him somewhere, probably in Pawtuck.
As far as Ava knows, Nikolas got up and left the stables when Ava thought that she had killed Nikolas. She has no idea what truly went on behind the scenes.
It will give Howarth and West some great material to play off each other since they work so well together.
Ava, of course, will also have to deal with Nikolas. The primary reason why Mr. and Mrs. Cassadine were separated was that he slept with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), and she became pregnant with his baby.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nikolas Went Too Far
General Hospital’s Ava could get past Nikolas sleeping with Esme, but she could not get past him having her child.
Ava decided she wanted to get even and gave Spencer Cassidine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) an incriminating recording of him confessing to killing Esme.
Esme accidentally fell over the parapet after a heated confrontation between her and Ava.
The purpose of giving him the recording was to help Spencer get custody of the baby once it was born. Nikolas, of course, was furious when he found out that Ava stabbed him in the back.
When Nikolas confronted Ava, he told her he would even the score by taking Avery away from her. Determined to stop him at all costs, she hit him with a statue on the back of the head.
This hit caused him to pass out. Thinking he was dead, Ava hid him in the barn. However, it turned out Nikolas was not so dead, and when Ava went to show Austin Nikolas’s dead body, he had disappeared.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: When Nikolas Returns
‘General Hospital’ spoilers point out that there will be fireworks when Nikolas returns. Knowing Nikolas, he will plead with Ava for her to stay with him, and she will tell him to hit the bricks.
It is conceivable that Nikolas may blackmail Ava to stay with him, and he will threaten to tell the police that she hit him on the head and left him for dead.
Can you imagine Ava’s reaction? With Ava, it could go either way. She may choose to stay with him out of fear or try going to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for help.

Not to mention, Sonny will get involved to protect his daughter. The writers could explore several storyline arcs reflecting Nikolas’s return.
