‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggests that the Quartermaine family is trying to figure out the best way to help Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) get back to his right mind.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) Way

GH’s Tracy Quartermaine is upset by Ned’s assertion that he is not Ned Quartermaine but instead Eddie Maine. Eddie Maine was the stage name that Ned came up with when he was an aspiring rock star.

In Tracy’s opinion, Eddie created this persona as a method of escape. Now that he had this accident, his brain has convinced him that he is Eddie and not Ned.

Tracy is ready to shake Ned back to reality. She sees that his situation is very painful for her grandson, Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda). Tracy is even wondering if Ned is in this position on purpose.

She wonders is he has just adopted this Eddie persona just to escape the problems he was dealing with in life. Tracy thinks it is time for him to stop, because so many people are getting hurt by his response.

She thinks it is time for someone to literally shake Ned and help him see reality again. She wants him to snap out of it and she thinks that getting right in his face would be the best way to do that.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Alexis Davis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) Way

GH’s Alexis Davis disagrees with Tracy and thinks that it is best if everyone just goes along with Ned’s belief that he is Eddie. Alexis thinks that it would be better if everyone treats Ned as if he is Eddie.

They should call him “Eddie” and not do things that irritate him. She believes that this would be a better way to encourage Ned to come back to himself.

This option may take a lot longer. If this is intentional on Ned’s part, he is going to have to reach his goal before he gives up this charade. If it is not intentional, then this could take a very long time to naturally overcome.

What do you think? Is Ned making this up? Does he really know who he is and is just escaping to this other world? Or is there a serious brain injury that is causing this belief? Will he ever heal and know who he is? What do you think they should do to treat him?
