General Hospital Recap Tuesday: Murderous Ryan Chamberlain Returns To Port Charles, Thirsts For Vengeance Against Kevin In Sick & Twisted Fratricide Murder Plot

General Hospital recap for Tuesday, May 21 brings us back to Canada to learn the fate of Laura Webber (Genie Francis) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), as well as bringing us more Nurses Ball action in Port Charles. If you missed it, let’s get to the highlights in your General Hospital recap.

General Hospital Recap Tuesday: Murderous Ryan Chamberlain Returns To Port Charles, Thirsts For Vengeance Against Kevin In Sick & Twisted Fratricide Murder Plot

General Hospital spoilers: Highlights and low points

The stage was filled with surprises today, as Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) sucked it up and took advantage of the mishap with the ring. He came onstage with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and proposed in front of the whole crowd. Anna accepted, and get congratulated by others on the way back to their table. They didn’t stay much longer, though, because there was celebrating to do.

A high point today of the action on stage, performance-wise was Cameron Webber (William Lipton) singing an original inspired by the recent tragedy and turmoil in his life. The song was great, and had a nice mix of emotion and energy, which someone appreciated. We’ll get to that later.

The low point? Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) Marilyn Monroe-inspired performance of “I Can’t Take My Eyes off of You.” It looked about as awkward and embarrassing as it sounded, and we’ll just be over here listening to YouTube videos to cleanse ourselves, thanks. The action will continue tomorrow, as more drama and performances await.

    General Hospital spoilers: Red alert

Laura and Curtis are safe and sound following the explosion, and under the care of Canadian first responders. Laura informs them that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is alive and heading to Port Charles. They need to move as fast as they can in informing the police back home, as well as getting her a helicopter out of there.

Back at the Ball, we see that Kevin Collins is lying unconscious backstage while Ava performs. He obviously doesn’t get the message Laura left, but before the shot ends, we see a gloved hand picking up one of the roses Kevin got for Ava’s performance.

General Hospital (GH) spoilers: Message from beyond

Before he went onstage, Cameron stopped by the Corinthos home to see Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). He tells her that Oscar had asked him to record a message for her before his death, and hands Joss a disc. He promises that the original on his phone is gone, as per Oscar’s wishes. Joss invites him to stay a minute and watch with her, but he says he doesn’t need to—he recorded it. Plus, he thinks Oscar wanted her to see it alone.

On the video, Oscar greets Joss and talks about how he’s sorry they don’t get more time together, but he’s glad she has so much in front of her yet. He wants her to go to the ball and do their song. Joss gets dressed and leaves, but she’s not sure she can get herself on the stage just yet. For her, she’s just glad to have taken the baby step of going out that night.

General Hospital (GH) spoilers: Go away, Kristina

Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) confronts Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) at the ball, warning Sam McCall (Kelly McCall) about the dark side of DoD. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) approach to run interference. Sonny warns Shiloh to stay away from his daughter, while Alexis and Neil convince Kristina to leave for her own good. They fear that a prolonged confrontation won’t be good for her recovery. She agrees, but on one condition: Sonny needs to stay and keep an eye on things. Sonny agrees, and by the look on his face (combined with a somewhat veiled threat), we’re sure he’s really okay with that. Nice knowing you, Shiloh…

On a related Dawn of Day note, Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) have another mini-fight about Brad turning to others with whatever problem he has instead of Lucas. When they end up at the same table with our friendly neighborhood cult leader and would-be destroyer, Lucas manages to get a minute alone with Sam. He’s worried about how intense some of this DoD stuff is.

    General Hospital (GH) spoilers: Eavesdropping

Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has trouble of her own today. She’s been on edge ever since she saw Shiloh arrive, and literally bumping into Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) doesn’t help. Nina, of course, is rude about it, and Willow’s not in the mood. She says the one good part of being fired is not having to deal with Nina’s crap anymore, then makes another reference to being a bad influence on Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) before storming away.

Why’d she bump into Nina? She was distracted by a phone call from her lawyer, which she goes somewhere private to answer. She’s talking about the baby thing when Nina happens upon her. Why not? She confronts Willow about having a child, then claims it’s no wonder she can’t handle a class. She can’t handle her own child. Willow’s problems might just get worse, because Shiloh happens to be nearby as well and approaches Willow.
