General Hospital Recap Monday: Drama Llama Kristina Makes Big Mistake, Monkey-wrenches DoD Takedown Operation
General Hospital spoilers: Busted
If you remember from last time, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) were setting up Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) in order to come between him and Ava Jerome (Maura West). Unfortunately, when Ava and Scott get to the hotel room, Kevin’s all alone. It takes about a nanosecond for Ava to realize what’s going on here, and basically tells Scott to back off, because she knows what she’s doing. He shoots back that she said that before, too. Touché.
As for Scott, he’s ticked the plan didn’t work and confronts Lucy about not being where she was supposed to be. She reminds him that while she’s totally committed to making sure Kevin and Ava are done, she has a higher priority tonight: the ball. The show must go on, right? She apparently couldn’t wait any longer for them to arrive.
General Hospital spoilers: Shut up, Kristina
Things started off okay, with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) keeping Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) company. They’re actually a really good pairing, because they’re both miserable and are owning it. Sometimes you just need to be miserable with someone else a minute, you know? To distract from the “comedy” they’re watching that isn’t providing laughs, they decide to check in on how things are going at the Nurses Ball.
Kristina is horrified to see that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is there with Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). She ends up leaving Joss to her own devices while she rushes to the ball to tell Sam she needs to stay away from him. This is not going to help Sam’s scheme for later that night, at which Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) are hard at work. They’d planted all kinds of bugs in the Dawn of Day house. Of course, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) telling Shiloh to his face he’s a cult leader probably didn’t help, either.
General Hospital spoilers: Problem Solved
Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is off the hook today. Well, sort of. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) still thinks that Robert is trying to sabotage a proposal to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Anna even still thinks that Robert wants to re-marry her, and tells him they’d never be a thing again. There’s one thing he’s definitely innocent of—stealing the ring.
Finn happens to spot Yvonne Godfrey (Janet Hubert) wearing the ring and approaches Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) for help. Sonny calls Mike Corbin (Max Gail) over and convinces him to give the ring Yvonne is wearing back, as it’s not good quality. They have a much better ring for him to give her in its place. Luckily, Yvonne is in love with the other ring, and all seems solved.
Meanwhile, Anna in on stage to give a speech about the cause and her daughter, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough), who wasn’t able to be there. She’s paying tribute to Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) and her daughter’s strength when a slight mishap causes the ring to end up falling at Anna’s feet. Her deer in the headlights look is priceless.
General Hospital (GH) spoilers: Drama llama
In what was pretty much the most bizarre moment of the episode, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) has a heart-to-heart with a Llama that is backstage, for God-knows-what reason. He’s still reeling from the loss of Oscar Nero (Garren Sitt) and wondering why he still gets to be alive, since his friend isn’t. He eventually decides that this just means he needs to really live and experience everything that Oscar won’t get a chance to.
To that end, he ducks out of the ball for a bit to try convincing Joss to come along. She’s not really up for it, plus she hasn’t even been able to rehearse. Every time she’s tried, she’s just realized more that the song is a duet, and she can’t go up and sing it without Oscar.
General Hospital (GH) spoilers: Multi-talented
We suppose no Nurses Ball talk could be complete without making a mention of the onstage action. Our nurses all came together to perform “Best of My Love” and it was awesome. High-energy, great vocals, and just fun to see. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) used his elaborate and fun performance to pull Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) on stage, ending the performance with a kiss that is sure to get some people in Port Charles talking.
