General Hospital Recap Thursday: The Nurses’ Ball Promises To Bring a Major Twist
General Hospital spoilers: Whose ring is it anyway?
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) is still reeling from Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) proposal to Yvonne Godfrey (Janet Hubert). They congratulate the couple, but Sonny is still confused as to where Mike got the ring. He has never seen it before in his life, as he confirms when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) asks if it’s a family heirloom. Sonny questions Mike, but he says he bought it. Sonny seems a little bothered by the address.
Related to this, the engagement celebration is tempered not only by the ring mystery, but by Carly Corinthos getting her test results. She assures him that they all came out well, but it doesn’t cover everything and the doctor wants additional testing. They do, however, now know the sex of their baby, which they seem happy about.
We just don’t get to know what it is yet. And we’re once again wondering about Soap Opera medical facilities. Carly was supposed to be in for the results, but didn’t even know of this appointment the day before? And they do all this testing, only to tell her there’s more? Geez, people. Way to help the pregnant lady who can’t stay out of people’s business avoid stress. Might have been more prudent to do this all together…
General Hospital spoilers: Plan in motion
Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) returns today to help bug the Dawn of Day house in anticipation of Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) initiation. Spinelli’s a little nervous about this, but Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) assures him that as long as he has the audio working right, they’ll be there to step in and help if needed.
To help the plan along, Sam asks Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to appear at the ball and act like everything is perfectly normal. Alexis isn’t sure she likes whatever Sam is about to do, or wants to know. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) seems to concur. Sam agrees that it’s best they don’t know too much, but assures them that the only one who’s going to be in any legal trouble after this will be Shiloh.
GH spoilers: Drama all around
Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) is listening to Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) rundown of the Toronto date with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) when she suddenly gets emotional. She’s happy for Maxie, but missing Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) a lot. She has a hard time coming home without him being there. Maxie insists that Lulu keep one of the Nurses’ Ball ticket’s she’d purchased when Dante first came back. Maxie thinks hanging at the ball with her friend is a much better option than sitting at home.
Also having drama is Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). He’s furious about the replacement ring, and wants Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to deal with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Chase has a better idea. He thinks that Anna Devane (Fionla Hughes) would just find out about the proposal anyway if he arrests Robert. Instead, he advises Finn to just propose without the ring. Finn is against that idea, because the stone had a special meaning. He may just change his mind about this, because Peter has heard about Anna’s suspicions about Robert preparing a proposal and thinks Finn better do it before the ex does.
General Hospital spoilers: Fitting tribute
Kim and Drew Cain (Billy Miller) are going through Oscar’s stuff today. After losing it about a realtor that Kim believes saw Oscar’s obituary and decided to pitch an apartment sale, Julian arrives. Upon seeing the poster of Kilimanjaro Oscar bought after reading about the great view of the stars there, Julian has an idea. He thinks that they should leave Oscar’s ashes there.
