General Hospital star John J York (Mac)

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers finds that sometimes, love comes to us at times when it is most unexpected! No one can relate that better than ‘General Hospital’s John J. York (Mac Scorpio) when talking about the two loves of his life, his little dogs, Winnie and Belle! He says they are the best dogs, but in the beginning he didn’t even want them. He said that out of all the dogs he’s had, he’s always been the one to feed and take care of them and then when it came time to go to the vet for that tearful, final time, he was always the one tasked with that job as well. After his last dog, he said he didn’t want to do it anymore.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: But John’s wife had other ideas.

He said, “She was out of town, but she kept looking at dogs at this rescue place. She saw a couple of puppies, called me and told me I had to go look at them.”

John wasn’t prepared for what came next, “We were only going to get one, but they brought out two.” He found out that the two adorable puppies were sisters and knew immediately that they couldn’t be separated and had to go together. So that day, they packed up the pups and added them to their family.

“They do everything together and they’re just crazy and fantastic, they’re the best dogs ever!” he gushes. Certainly, a lot of us can identify with John, as we’ve all had that one (or two!) pups that have come into our lives at unexpected times and became the best dogs ever. I know I have. At this time of year, it’s important to remember all the rescues out there that need loving, forever homes, not just adorable puppies but older dogs, too. Also, let’s not forget our feline friends either. Sometimes the best things in life are unexpected, but please, before adopting, make sure that your household is pet-ready! Remember, the key word is forever here. If you can’t outright adopt, look into sponsorship programs. Some animal shelters let you sponsor an animal of your choice on their websites to keep them housed until they can find that forever home. Congrats to John on having so much love in his life!
